How it works
The EA scans XAUUSD M15 for unbroken swing highs and lows, the buy-side and sell-side liquidity pools where stop orders build up. An ATR-based structure filter confirms the trend direction. Then one stop order is placed exactly at the liquidity level. When price sweeps through, the EA rides the breakout:
Stop Loss at the opposite liquidity level (capped at 0.78% of price)
Take Profit at 1.56% of price, a 1:2 risk-to-reward structure
Step trailing that starts locking profit once the trade moves 0.18% in your favour
Backtest (XAUUSD M15, Jan 2023 – Oct 2026, 100% real ticks)
$500 → $9,881 (+1,876%) with 5% risk per trade
1,462 trades | 83.17% win rate

How it works
Smart Gold Trap runs 9 independent breakout strategies, called traps. Each trap finds a price range, places a Buy Stop above it and a Sell Stop below it, and waits. A position only opens when gold breaks out, with the stop loss and take profit sent together with the order.
What makes it different
9 traps in 3 risk groups (low, medium, high)
You choose your maximum drawdown, the EA sizes the lots for you
NFP filter: closes trades before Non-Farm Payrolls and waits 60 minutes after
Fake breakout filter and spread checks
Optional daily loss limit for prop firm accounts
