Chronos Gold Spectra

Chronos Gold Spectra — 13-Model AI Gold Trading System for MetaTrader 5

Overview

Chronos Gold Spectra is an AI-driven Expert Advisor designed specifically for gold trading on MetaTrader 5. It combines a direction-symmetric AI inference engine, 12 timeframe-specific ONNX specialist models, momentum analysis, price-pattern logic, and automated risk-management controls in one integrated trading system.

Built around XAUUSD, Chronos Gold Spectra evaluates market behavior using multiple timeframes and configurable entry conditions. Its architecture combines AI-generated estimates with conventional technical indicators and execution filters to help identify potential trading opportunities while managing trading exposure according to predefined rules.

The system is designed for traders who want more than a basic indicator-based strategy: it provides a multi-model analytical framework, automated position management, and an on-chart dashboard for monitoring key market and trading information.

1. Thirteen ONNX AI Models

Chronos Gold Spectra incorporates 13 ONNX models in its source-code resource configuration.

The model architecture consists of:

  • 1 direction-symmetric real-tick AI model that produces separate estimates for potential BUY and SELL scenarios.

  • 12 timeframe-specific specialist models, comprising dedicated LONG and SHORT models for six timeframes.

The specialist timeframes are:

  • M1 — 1 minute

  • M15 — 15 minutes

  • M30 — 30 minutes

  • H1 — 1 hour

  • H4 — 4 hours

  • D1 — 1 day

The direction-symmetric model returns three values for each direction: a win-probability estimate, an expected-horizon estimate, and an adverse-risk estimate. These outputs are used by the EA's decision logic alongside its configured entry filters.

The specialist models process timeframe-specific market features, including price movement, volatility, candle structure, moving-average relationships, tick-volume behavior, and time-related features.

This multi-model design gives Chronos Gold Spectra a broader analytical foundation than a system that relies on a single technical indicator or a single model.

Important distinction: Six timeframe-specific model groups are included in the code, but this does not mean that all six timeframes independently open trades by default. Model analysis, dashboard display, and active entry execution are separate functions.

2. Direction-Symmetric AI Analysis

The primary AI engine evaluates BUY and SELL scenarios separately. Its input features are calculated from historical price data and include normalized price changes, moving-average relationships, volatility measurements, and price-efficiency characteristics.

The engine uses closed-bar historical data and requires sufficient history before calculating its estimates. Its outputs include:

  • Estimated probability associated with a potential direction.

  • An expected-horizon estimate.

  • An adverse-risk estimate.

These values are evaluated against configurable thresholds before the relevant entry logic can proceed.

The probability threshold is a model-filter setting, not a guaranteed success rate or a promise that a particular percentage of trades will be profitable. Actual outcomes depend on market conditions, execution, and the configuration used.

3. M5 Momentum Trading Module

The M5 Momentum module is enabled by default. It uses the primary AI engine's directional estimates together with technical triggers and configurable filters.

Its key settings include:

  • Minimum AI win-probability threshold.

  • Maximum number of concurrent positions assigned to the module.

  • EMA period and slope threshold.

  • RSI period and pullback thresholds.

  • Minimum expected horizon.

  • Maximum permitted adverse-risk estimate.

The default minimum probability threshold is 0.722, and the module's configured position limit is eight.

These values are adjustable. More restrictive filters may reduce the number of qualifying entries, while looser settings may increase signal frequency and exposure. Neither adjustment guarantees better performance.

4. M5 Pattern Trading Module

Chronos Gold Spectra also includes a separate M5 Pattern module, enabled by default.

The source code identifies this module as a 14-pattern structure-based trading component. It has its own configurable AI probability threshold and position limit, allowing it to operate alongside the Momentum module.

The default minimum probability threshold is 0.735, with a configured maximum of two concurrent positions for this module.

Separating the Momentum and Pattern modules provides flexibility in how the EA evaluates potential opportunities. The actual signals remain subject to the implemented conditions, risk controls, and trading environment.

5. Six-Timeframe Specialist Analysis

The 12 specialist ONNX models are organized into LONG and SHORT pairs for M1, M15, M30, H1, H4, and D1.

The EA calculates normalized market features for each specialist timeframe and obtains model outputs that are transformed using timeframe-specific calibration constants. In the source code, these specialist results are cached and used by the chart dashboard.

This provides a view of model-derived directional information across short-, medium-, and longer-term timeframes.

The active entry configuration remains important: M5 Momentum and M5 Pattern are enabled by default, while the optional M15 and M30 entry modules are disabled by default. H1, H4, and D1 specialist analysis should not be confused with independent entry execution on those timeframes.

6. Technical Indicators and Volatility-Adaptive Trade Management

The EA includes configurable EMA, RSI, and ATR parameters.

EMA analysis provides a moving-average reference and a slope-based condition for evaluating price direction.

RSI analysis supplies a configurable momentum and pullback condition. The EA uses custom threshold settings, so the exact BUY and SELL interpretation follows the implementation rather than assuming standard textbook overbought and oversold values.

ATR-based trade management allows stop-loss and take-profit distances to be calculated using a volatility measure.

The reported default parameters include:

  • EMA period: 18.

  • RSI period: 28.

  • ATR period: 12.

  • ATR stop-loss multiplier: 3.5.

  • ATR take-profit multiplier: 2.4.

These settings can be adjusted to suit different trading conditions. Changing them can affect entry frequency, average trade duration, drawdown, and overall results.

7. Market-Condition and Noise Filters

Chronos Gold Spectra incorporates a native MQL5 market-condition gate called JevGate.

The gate is designed to evaluate conditions such as spread and volatility, with rollover-related restrictions and configurable decision controls. The implementation is native to the EA and does not require an external AI server or a web API for its stated decision-gate functionality.

The main configuration also includes a maximum-spread filter and volatility boundaries.

The reported settings include a maximum spread of USD 0.55, a minimum ATR threshold of USD 0.10, and a maximum ATR threshold of USD 35.00. The EA also includes a rollover guard.

These filters are intended to prevent entries when configured market conditions are not satisfied. They cannot eliminate slippage, sudden price gaps, or all adverse market movements.

8. Automated Swarm Position Management

Chronos Gold Spectra uses a multi-slot position-management structure with a configured maximum of 12 concurrent positions across the system.

The source code includes controls for:

  • Base lot size.

  • Maximum total concurrent positions.

  • Module-specific position limits.

  • Handling of opposite-direction signals.

  • Minimum holding time before an opposite-signal reversal.

  • Same-direction cooldown following a significant stop-loss.

  • Maximum position holding time.

The default configuration specifies a base lot of 0.01, a maximum of 12 total positions, opposite-signal handling enabled, a 40-minute minimum hold interval before a permitted flip, a 45-minute same-direction stop-loss cooldown, and a 120-minute maximum holding time.

The 12-position setting is an upper limit, not a target. Actual position count depends on qualifying signals, existing exposure, available margin, and execution conditions.

Traders should also account for the difference between hedging and netting accounts, since account mode affects how positions are represented and closed.

9. Stop-Loss Protection and Daily Loss Controls

The EA includes several risk-management settings intended to limit exposure.

Hard stop-loss cap

The reported configuration enables a hard stop-loss cap, with a configured maximum of USD 18 per 0.01 lot.

This is a configured risk-control parameter, not a guarantee of the final realized loss. Slippage, gaps, execution failures, and contract specifications can affect actual results.

Daily net-loss limit

A daily net-loss control is enabled by default in the reported configuration, with a configured limit of USD 70.

When the EA's daily-loss condition is reached, its execution logic can halt new trading until its daily reset logic permits trading again. The precise behavior depends on the implemented calculation and account conditions.

Consecutive-loss cooldown option

The source also includes an optional consecutive-loss cooldown mechanism. It is disabled by default in the reported configuration, allowing traders to decide whether to enable that additional restriction.

These controls provide configurable safeguards, but they do not remove the possibility of substantial losses.

10. Weekend and Rollover Protection

Chronos Gold Spectra includes options intended to reduce exposure during selected periods.

The reported configuration enables closing positions before the weekend, with the Friday closing hour configured for 21:00 GMT. It also enables a rollover-related trading restriction.

These features are designed to manage exposure around market closures and rollover conditions. Traders should verify server time, GMT handling, broker trading hours, and the actual behavior of these controls before live use.

11. On-Chart Chronos Spectra HUD

The EA includes a custom CCanvas-based dashboard for visual monitoring.

The HUD can display model-related directional status, specialist-timeframe information, and swarm position information, together with account and daily-performance figures supplied to the display component.

Its visual design uses a dark background with gold and cyan accents, consistent with the Chronos Gold Spectra identity.

The dashboard is intended to make important system information easier to monitor while the EA is attached to a chart. Displayed model estimates are analytical outputs, not guarantees of future market direction.

12. Integrated, Configurable Trading Architecture

Chronos Gold Spectra brings together:

  • 13 embedded ONNX model resources.

  • A direction-symmetric AI inference engine.

  • Six timeframe-specific LONG/SHORT specialist pairs.

  • M5 Momentum and M5 Pattern entry modules.

  • Configurable EMA, RSI, and ATR calculations.

  • Spread, volatility, and rollover filters.

  • A 12-position system-wide ceiling.

  • Automated position-management rules.

  • Hard stop-loss and daily-loss controls.

  • Optional weekend position closure.

  • A custom on-chart monitoring dashboard.

The combination is designed to provide a structured, configurable approach to automated gold trading through MetaTrader 5.

Risk Disclaimer

Chronos Gold Spectra is an automated trading tool, not a guarantee of profit. Gold prices can move rapidly, and leveraged trading can result in significant losses. Spread widening, slippage, gaps, broker execution conditions, and changes in market behavior can materially affect results.

AI estimates and historical backtests cannot guarantee future performance. Test the EA thoroughly with realistic broker conditions, use conservative risk settings, and trade only with capital you can afford to lose.
