Gold Breakout 15M: Session Range Breakout EA for MT5
Gold Breakout 15M is a rules-based Expert Advisor that trades the breakout of the overnight range on XAUUSD (gold). It builds the range from M15 candles, places breakout stop orders at the range edges, and closes everything at the end of the session. It was converted from a TradingView Pine v6 strategy.
How it works
- Range: from the range start hour to the range end hour (default 00:00 to 07:00), it records the highest high and lowest low of the M15 candles.
- Entries: after the range closes, it places a Buy Stop at the range high and a Sell Stop at the range low.
- OCO: when one order fills, the other is cancelled immediately.
- One trade per day: after a trade has opened, no new trades are taken until the next day.
- Stop-loss: either a percentage of the entry price (default 1%) or the opposite side of the range.
- Time exit: open positions and pending orders are closed at the force-close hour (default 20:00).
- No take-profit: the trade runs until the stop-loss or the time exit, as in the original strategy.

Recommended setup
- Symbol: XAUUSD
- Chart timeframe: M15. The range is always built from M15 data.
- Account: netting or hedging
- Check that the session hours match your broker's server time, or switch to the New York + 7 clock.
