🤝 **EA COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: FORTUNE MT5**

This week’s featured Expert Advisor is **Fortune MT5**, developed by fellow MQL5 seller **Shane Lee**, founder of **SmiteFX**.

Fortune is an automated **XAUUSD breakout trading system for MetaTrader 4 & 5**, built around selective market-structure breakouts, predefined trade protection and user-controlled risk.

⚡ **WHAT MAKES FORTUNE INTERESTING?**

✅ **Proprietary Breakout Logic** — Fortune identifies potential breakout and breakdown zones using recent XAUUSD market structure rather than continuously entering the market.

✅ **Risk-Based Lot Sizing** — traders select their preferred percentage risk and the EA adjusts position sizing according to the trade and account conditions.

✅ **Dynamic Exposure** — position size can scale with the account rather than relying on the same fixed lot indefinitely.

✅ **Defined Stop Loss & Take Profit** — every trade is opened with predefined protection and exit conditions.

✅ **Single-Entry Trading** — each setup is treated independently rather than building recovery baskets.

✅ **No Grid**

✅ **No Martingale**

✅ **No Averaging Down**

✅ **No Recovery Stacking**

✅ **Selective Trade Frequency** — Fortune is designed to wait for suitable breakout conditions rather than trade continuously throughout the day.

📊 **VERIFIED LIVE PERFORMANCE**

One thing I like to see when looking at another developer’s system is a publicly available live account rather than relying entirely on Strategy Tester results.

At the time of this feature, Shane’s **Fortune x VT** public MQL5 signal shows:

🔥 **+934% Growth**
📅 **32 Weeks of Monitoring**
📊 **137 Trades**
✅ **89% Winning Trades**
⚡ **1.93 Profit Factor**
📉 **33% Maximum Drawdown**

The drawdown figure is also worth paying attention to. Strong historical growth does not mean the strategy is low-risk, and traders should select their own risk settings accordingly.

👨‍💻 **ABOUT THE DEVELOPER**

**Shane Lee** is the founder of **SmiteFX** and develops automated trading and risk-management products primarily around Forex and XAUUSD with products available across both MT4 and MT5.

What stands out to me about Shane’s approach is the emphasis on **risk management and transparent live monitoring**, rather than presenting an EA as a system that can never lose.

Fortune’s own product description is very clear that there is no “holy grail,” and that winning periods, losing periods and drawdowns are part of systematic trading.

💰 **CURRENT PRICE: $249**

Fortune MT5 is currently version **1.65**, with the developer listing the current price at **$249**.

🤝 **Developer Spotlight Collaboration**

It’s always interesting to see how other MQL5 developers approach automation, strategy design and risk management.

As with any Expert Advisor, study the documentation, backtests, live trading history and drawdown carefully before deciding whether the strategy fits your own risk tolerance.
