When an Expert Advisor is compiled in MetaTrader 5, the resulting .ex5 file is not a readable source code. It is an encrypted binary (byte-code) generated by the official MetaQuotes compiler. This process is one-way — meaning it is technically and cryptographically impossible to restore the original MQL5 code from an EX5 file.

This is exactly why the trading community and most professional developers migrated from MT4 to MT5. In very old MT4 builds, partial decompilation of .ex4 files was sometimes possible due to weaker protection. However, MetaTrader 5 introduced a completely new compilation system with advanced encryption and digital signatures. Since its release, no functioning EX5 decompiler has ever existed — not in any community, not on any forum, and not within MetaQuotes itself.

If EX5 decompilation were possible, the entire idea of software protection and intellectual property on MQL5.com would become meaningless. The fact that the global marketplace safely operates on this format proves the opposite — the system is secure by design.

What you have displayed are random binary fragments that can appear if someone opens a compiled file or cache data with a text editor. Such fragments are meaningless from a programming perspective — they are not logic, functions, or readable MQL structures.
