The indicator redraws its values. Was there a signal crossing -5, then the zero zone, and then when you click on the indicator it shows a rebound from the -5 zone?
The indicator redraws its values. Was there a signal crossing -5, then the zero zone, and then when you click on the indicator it shows a rebound from the -5 zone.
In extremely rare cases, especially on the highly volatile M1 and very rare on M5 timeframes it does that on deeper corrections or some spikes, but, please conisder:
1. You can reduce the sensitivity of the indicator by increasing period or smooth or both. That's how the indicator should not touch the respective level on deeper corrections.
2. You can increase the sensitivity of the indicator by idecreasing period or smooth or both. That's how the indicator will touch earlier the respective level, has the time be confirmed, and if a rebound in price happens, it will properly cross the same level again and give you a proper opposite signal to reverse trade.
3. On higer timeframes /I suggest to use them/ you may consider this "repaint" as a proper signal for trade reversal. Yes, your stop loss will be hit /I suggest to be above the previous one or two bars, but it is a signal that the correction is done and the energy is again in the main directon and very nice continous movements can be traded, far larger that your stop loss.
My real trading observations are that on XAUUSD at M30 timeframe, for example, the indicator did this 8 times this year and ALL of the losses taken, were hugely compensated after the trade reversals. Compare to the large amoung of total trades you will understand that this is not significant for your trading results. You just have to play a little bit and find your proper settings per each individual pair that you trade.
There is no perfect system and this does not pretend to be such, but in a long run I experienced that works well.
