Tick Data from Dukascopy was used for High quality Ticks. 
By no means, i am advising to use the same Settings used here. it is just what i decided to test with. configure risk management according to your capital and trading style. here is the screenshot of 2yr backtest 2021 to 2023.

I have a DD of 20% at the moment with the EA with a risk 1%.

I see that on your signal the USDCAD was able to close on 2 trades between the 25th and the 26th with a martingale opening on the 2nd position (0.05 lots for the first and 0.09 for the 2nd position), while the EA is supposed to operate in grid

You are using a very high risk if you have 20% with just a few trades.T he default risk parameter is 0.3  and maximum should be 0.5. That was not a martingale, I increased capital and EA increased lot size according to the new capital.
DD on my account is 3% at the moment.

Please use a proper risk money management.

Unfortunately I have EURUSD and NZDUSD Trades going on since 16.01.2024, which are now at 32% DD with 0.5 Risk.

Same here. Drawdown already reached more than 40%. For the price of this EA I actually expected a better recovery system than just opening more and more positions and "hoping for the best".
