Hello, I had this indicator developed to locate and mark up imbalances in the market. Here are the basics of what the indicator does:
1) When a candle breaks the low/high of the previous candle and the candle goes past the current ATR value in pips, the indicator should draw a horizontal line where the imbalance occurs (previous candle high/low).
If price retraces back and touches the line, the imbalance is considered filled and the line ends at that candle
There is a feature in the indicator called "Minimum Bars for Imbalance". When set, it is supposed to check at the close of each candle to see if the imbalance was filled and ignores any less than whatever the input is set at. If set to 1, it will remove any imbalance line or dots on the next bar. Set to 2, next 2 bars, etc.... I'm having issues with the indicator not remove lines or dots according to whatever value is set. In the next pic, we can see with a default value of "2", the boxes show the dots still on the charts even though the imbalance lines are no longer there due to price retracing and filling the imbalance before the second bar ended. Sometimes the imbalance lines will continue to draw through the candle upon an imbalance fill and not stop at that candle.
When refreshing the the indicator or resetting the template, the dots now disappear.
Here are some of the previous pics of the issues we had with lines not extending or drawing through the candle on an imbalance being filled. I think that is resolved for the most part, but it couldn't hurt to have the logic looked over again and if there is any tweaking that can be done to improve on it.
The other small issues I have are:
1) when the terminal is on for any decent length of time, the ATR in the upper left corner disappears and doesn't appear until you reload or change the indicator values. This should be visible at all times.
2) The indicator is really sucking down cpu resources and really slows the terminal down, causing some freezing and lagging when moving from chart to chart. I need it to be more cpu friendly and not be so power hungry.
3) With regards to alerts, I need it to be modified to have the option to only send an alert, and only send it one time, when one or both of these events occur:
A) and imbalance line is drawn, and,
B) when and imbalance line gets filled
Also, if I decide to put this in the marketplace, what is the best way to secure it?
I hope that gives you an idea of what needs to be fixed or added. Any questions or clarification, you can reach me at mer071898@gmail.com.
