MQL5 XAUUSD M5 ORB & Scalping EA – Completion, Testing and Smart Trailing Stop

Existing EA: NEW_CORE_ORB_M5_v021 | MT5 | XAUUSD M5

Early-stage research prototype, not a new EA from scratch. Need an experienced MQL5 developer to audit, complete, repair, improve and test BOTH independent strategies equally: Opening Range Breakout (ORB) and Scalp. Keep code lightweight and preserve an untouched baseline. No unnecessary rewrite or complex filters.

1. ORB Strategy

Verify opening-range construction, London/New York sessions, broker time/DST, breakout and retest entry logic, BUY/SELL, false breakouts, duplicate signals, exits and range/ATR-based SL/TP. Evaluate fixed exits versus optional trailing.

2. Active Scalping

Verify BUY/SELL signals, entry quality, frequent independent opportunities and short exits. Research 4–8 trades/day when justified (never force trades), 5–30 minute holding periods, and $5–10 net profit per winning 0.01-lot trade. Compare $3/$5/$7/$10 targets after costs; do not promise these results.

3. Smart Profit Lock and Trailing Stop

Optional Profit Lock, break-even and trailing stop for both strategies, configurable independently and OFF by default.

Illustrative example: at $5 floating profit protect approximately $3, then move the stop favorably as profit rises. Stop must never move backward.

Handle spread, commission, slippage, broker stop/freeze levels and modification errors. Ensure fixed TP does not prematurely terminate trailing.

Compare fixed TP, Profit Lock and Trailing Stop separately.

4. Additional Optional Controls

• Smart cooldown against repeat entries on the same signal.
• Spread/cost protection.
• Configurable time-based exit.

Each feature must be independently switchable, reversible and tested.

5. Capital Protection

Initial fixed 0.01 lot; reference ATR(14), SL = 1.5 ATR, TP = 3 ATR; daily loss limit 2.5%, cumulative drawdown 15%; mandatory protective SL.

Initially maximum one EA position at a time, with multiple sequential daily trades.

No Grid, Martingale, averaging down or risk escalation.

Verify which protections actually exist in the source, report gaps, test limits and restart recovery. Do not change risk settings without written approval.

6. Technical Audit and Repairs

Inspect MQ5 and all required MQH files.

Check compilation, candle/indicator indexing, sessions, OrderCheck/OrderSend retcodes, broker filling/volume/stops, SL/TP changes, duplicate orders, position tracking, risk-state persistence, errors and CPU efficiency.

Fix confirmed bugs, document changes, retain the original baseline and report missing dependencies promptly.

7. Independent and Combined Testing

Use genuine MT5 Real Tick data where available and disclose unavailable history.

Test:

• ORB only and Scalp only.
• BUY and SELL separately.
• Original versus corrected EA.
• Fixed TP versus Profit Lock versus Trailing Stop.
• Combined ORB + Scalp only after independent validation.

Combined mode requires independent ON/OFF switches, strategy-tagged trades, no conflicting or duplicate orders and shared risk limits.

Include realistic spread, commissions, slippage, different sessions and volatility conditions, out-of-sample validation and parameter sensitivity.

Report sample sizes, trades/day, net profit, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, equity drawdown, average duration, losing streaks and unsuccessful experiments.

No overfitting or guaranteed-profit claims.

8. Required Deliverables

• Complete unencrypted MQ5/MQH source code.
• Compiled EX5 with zero errors and warnings.
• Original and updated SET files.
• Separate ORB and Scalp configurations.
• Validated combined configuration, if appropriate.
• Technical audit and confirmed bug report.
• Detailed change log.
• MT5 HTML backtests and Experts/Journal logs.
• Separate BUY/SELL and ORB/Scalp reports.
• Profit Lock and Trailing Stop comparisons.
• Risk and restart validation evidence.
• Installation and rollback instructions.
• Remaining limitations and agreed defect support.

Client retains ownership of original code and paid modifications.

9. Development Conditions

Research/Strategy Tester-only at present. No automatic live enablement or live-account credentials.

All strategy and risk changes require written client approval. Optional features OFF by default. No guaranteed profits.

10. Budget and Proposal

Initial budget: $100–150 USD, negotiable upward for justified scope.

Preferred delivery: 5–10 days, subject to file completeness.

In your FIRST proposal, state your relevant MQL5/Gold ORB/scalping experience, technical approach, full fixed-price quotation, realistic timeline, missing dependencies, exclusions, acceptance tests and post-delivery support.

I prioritize clean code, reliable execution, capital protection and reproducible testing over unrealistic profit promises.
