The boss! em
My childhood hobby in software development became my career in the mid 1980s.

I have developed many MT4 and MT5 EA's, indicators and scripts.
The challenge as always, is to test, test, test. Record results, analyse them, minimise and eliminate curve fitting. Then make conclusions, decide on actions, implement actions and re-test.

Moving into MT5... As a developer in the 80's and 90's I went through the transition of 3GL/4GL languages and design methods into the world of Object Orientation, classes, methods, inheritance, polymorphism etc. It was good, but it *completely* relies on a very solidly defined object model that remains reasonably static. The MT5 EA libraries give a good framework for OO development.

Most of my MT5 work now is object/class based, and compatible with the MT5 wizard. The ability to add custom classes to the MT5 Wizard means I can concentrate on rapid iteration and testing of trading strategy development.

The HHHC-LLLC indicator uses candle by candle analysis, based on the principle of trend confirmation from Higher High, Higher Close candles (bullish) and Lower Low, Lower Close candles (bearish). There is no lag, no re-painting, and averaging is not used. HHHC-LLLC helps confirm: market structure and levels - look left to see them line up trends, pullbacks & reversals Bull moves (blue), Bear moves (red) Structure Zig Zags (black dotted lines), for summarizing market moves exhaustion and

An improved version (features, bug fixes) that all users should upgrade to, has been with the moderators since April 25th. Not sure why they seem to be slow in approving it, but once it's out I'll make a comment here to let people know.

Be careful. It is a vicious market in December. I am flat on all accounts. Too much risk!

Why is it that when you buy into a 'proven' signal because you like the described logic, the reasoning, the balance history, equity and growth; the signal owner just ups and changes (ruins!) the signal logic because of a drawdown?
As signal clients, we are advised to stick with a signal for at least a couple of months or more to allow for the market ups and downs. Equally, we should expect the signal owners to be equally consistent and persistent with their signal logic.
I don't think anyone really expects signals to have a 100% win rate, in fact that would be very suspicious because then you have no clue as to how the signal handles drawdowns. What I think we should demand is consistency from signal owners so that signals are allowed to continue without interference. If signal owners have 'new logic' or 'new parameters' then use those on new accounts so that they can be proven along side existing signals. I don't think it is fair for signal clients to be put through untested changes to signal logic, that steps away from the 'advertised' signal description we bought into.
In effect, the signal description is a bit like a contract offer: and like a contract, once accepted it should not be changed without mutual consent from both signal owner and signal clients.

you have to check signals properly before you subscribe----some signal providers are not really traders- they use various tricks to get an account to a stage that looks good on an equity chart/ drawdown/ high growth--------they do this to attract subscribers, they then connect to mql5 or only then enable live monitoring. MQL5 records drawdown from when the account was connected for live monitoring---so an account could get to 2000% growth and 80% drawdown 100% wins- but when it is connected to mql5 for live monitoriing the drawdown will start from zero. The best thing you can do is to only follow signals that the signal provider himself/herself also has alot of money in(not easy to do as some might be hedging using 2 accounts)- also watch from when there are subscribers because once a signal has subscribers they can not switch off live data connection to mql5. probably the most important thing to check through signal history- you can see the start balance and trade size taken for that size - a lot of scammers will open 10/20 small size orders all at the same time- you can check this using time date stamp- this is to increase their number of trades- although it is just one trade inreality- it also makes the equity graph look smoother------------becareful and remember this if their is too much growth in a very small space of time a lot of risk was taken---I have a few blog posts that should help, you check my profile for them

also google the broker the signal provider is using- some of the brokers used do not seem genuine brokers

Publicado o código History Dump CSV with heat map for Excel analysis
This script creates a .CSV file of your order history so you can import it into Excel and analyse it using the calculated heat map slots and other calculated values. All trading attributes are extracted from the history and output to the .CSV file. Updated version 1.03 (about 27KB) has NetProfit, OpenDay, OpenHour, OpenSlot, CloseDay, CloseHour, CloseSlot, DurationMinutes, PotentialWinPips, PotentialLossPips and others. The file is tab delimited for easier conversion from text to columns in Excel. Times are server time. Handles 4 and 5 digit brokers and 2/3 and 4/5 point value pairs, e.g. JPY correctly.
