What a move on Gold yesterday.
Even on the smallest lot size of just 0.01 lots:

This is exactly why these systems do not use tight trailing stops or fixed take profits.
The goal is to give trades enough room to stay in the move and capture the full expansion when strong trends happen. If trades were closed too early with trailing stops or small TPs, these kinds of large winners would be missed.
For everyone running these systems, I really recommend letting the EA do its job.
Closing trades early breaks the consistency of the strategy. One day you close early, another day you let it run — that’s not how the system is designed to work.
A lot of advice online says you always need to “lock in profits” for good risk management, but that doesn’t automatically make it correct. These systems have been tested to perform best when trades are allowed to follow their full exit logic.
The entries already have a strong edge, so the system can still sometimes work with manual intervention — but it will not be consistent. Manual decisions are often based on assumptions rather than tested data, which usually ends up hurting long-term performance.
