BTC Breakout Pro is a trend-following Expert Advisor for Bitcoin. It enters when price closes above a prior 20-day high, lets winning trades run, and protects the deposit with a volatility-based stop. How it works
At its core, BTC Breakout Pro uses the classic breakout system that professional trend-following funds rely on. The Expert Advisor sets two reference channels:
It takes a long position when the price closes above the highest high of the last 20 days.
It exits the trade when the close falls below the lowest low of the last 10 days, letting a trend run while still getting out when it reverses.
A stop loss is placed at a distance of twice the Average True Range (ATR, period 20) below the entry. The stop scales with the market: it is wider in volatile periods and tighter in calm ones.
Positions are sized so your chosen risk stays about the same on every trade. The Expert Advisor does not use grid trading, hedging, or martingale. Default settings are chosen so the robot works as-is out of the box.
This is not a system for traders who want many trades each day. It follows the main trend while keeping the risk of each position limited.
Results of a historical test
The following numbers come from a backtest, that is a computer simulation of performance on past price data from Binance. They are not a guarantee of future results. All parameters are shown so you can repeat this test in the Strategy Tester.
- Symbol: BTCUSD
- Timeframe: H4, 9 years, from August 2017 to August 2026
- Initial deposit: 10,000 USD, leverage 1 to 500
- Total net profit: plus 21,879 USD, or about plus 219 percent
- Profit factor: 3.2
- Winning trades: 13 of 53, or about 25 percent
- Average trade: plus 413 USD
- Largest winning trade: plus 9,018 USD
- Average losing trade: minus 247 USD
- Maximum drawdown on balance: about 23 percent, fully recovered during the test
Winning trades are much larger than losing trades. The test was run with zero commission and zero swap.
Installation and use
1. Add the Expert Advisor to a BTCUSD chart, H1 or H4. It works on BTC only; the settings are tested on H4 using Binance Data.
2. Set the risk per trade in the RiskUSD input, for example 200 USD means one trade risks about 200 USD.
3. Enable live / demo trading in the terminal.
4. To verify the system before going live, run it in the Strategy Tester. The demo version will give the same results as in this page and can be tested on any period.
Parameters and timeframes
The Expert Advisor is supplied with optimal default parameters, tested on H1 and H4. There is nothing you need to optimize depending on your dataset and every input is described in the input list:
- EntryBars and ExitBars control the two channels.
- ATRPeriod and ATRMult define the stop loss.
- RiskUSD sets the size of each position in fixed US dollars or a percent of balance, as you choose.
