Most funded accounts are not lost to a bad strategy.

They are lost to one bad session. A bad hour, after a bad morning, when the daily limit was already half gone and nobody was counting.

This counts. It sits on your chart, watches the limits your account has to stay inside, and refuses to send an order that would break one.

In 30 seconds

• It is not a strategy. No signals, no entries, no arrows. It never opens a trade by itself.
• You click, it checks. Every order passes one gate that asks every rule you switched on. Refused orders are not sent, and the panel says which rule stopped you.
• It sizes the trade for you. Type a stop and a risk percentage; read the lot size on the button before you press it.
• It watches the whole account. Daily loss, drawdown, open risk, exposure, margin — measured across everything, including trades another EA placed.
• It manages afterwards. Breakeven, trailing, staged take profit, batch closes, and a two-press CLOSE ALL on every tab.
• It survives restarts. A locked account stays locked. The day's baseline is not reset. Deposits and withdrawals do not distort your drawdown.

It cannot guarantee profits, prevent losses, or guarantee compliance with any firm's rules. Those claims are absent on purpose.

The moment it matters

• It is 14:20. Your firm allows a 4% daily loss and you are down 3.1%.
• The pill at the top of the panel is amber, and the banner underneath names the limit and the figure. The headroom number — the largest thing on the panel — reads what is left, not what is gone.
• You take one more trade. You size it at 1% and the panel prints the lot on the button.
• It loses. You are at 4.1%.
• Now you reach for the next trade, because that is what the afternoon does to people. Nothing is sent. The banner is red, the pill says BLOCKED, and the sentence names the daily limit as the reason.
• If you configured it to, the account is also locked — and pressing UNLOCK will not help while the limit is still breached, because a hard limit clears when the account is back inside the rule, not when a button is pressed.
• That is the entire product. Everything below is detail.

What it is, and what it is not

• It is a risk firewall with a trading panel attached. You choose the trade. It decides whether the trade is allowed, works out the size from the risk you set, sends it, and manages it afterwards.
• It is not a strategy, and does not pretend to be one. No buy or sell signals. No entries. No indicators. It never opens a position by itself, in any market, under any condition. Every order begins with your click.
• If you want something that decides what to trade, this is the wrong product. This decides whether what you already chose is allowed.

How it works

1. It measures

Once a second it reads your equity, balance, open positions and pending orders, re-derives the day's realised profit and loss from your deal history, and evaluates every limit you switched on.

The figures come from your broker's own pricing rather than an assumed pip value — so they are right on gold, indices and JPY crosses, not only on majors.

2. You plan

Type a stop and a risk, or drag entry, stop and target lines on the chart. The panel shows the lot size, the money at risk, that risk as a percentage of the account, and the reward-to-risk ratio.

All of it before anything is sent.

3. It decides

Press an order button and the request passes through one gate that asks every rule in turn. If any rule refuses, nothing is sent and the panel names the rule and the reason.

The spread and the quote are re-read at the moment of sending, not only when you were planning.

4. It manages

Afterwards it can move stops to breakeven, trail them, and take profit in stages. If a limit is reached it blocks, closes, or both — as you configured — and records what it did.

The panel has no path to the order function at all. Every order, including every button you can press, goes through the same check. There is no "just this once".

What it watches

Each protection switches on and off independently, works in percent or in your account currency, and gets its own reaction.

Daily loss

Measured from your firm's reset hour, not midnight on your PC. Choose the calculation: start-of-day equity against current equity, start-of-day balance against current equity, or realised results only. Fees, swap and commission can be counted or excluded.

The day's figures are re-derived from your deal history every time, so a restart part-way through a session does not reset your baseline. The one number history cannot reproduce — the equity at the instant the day opened — is stored while running, and if it cannot be trusted the panel says ESTIMATED rather than presenting a guess as fact.

Maximum drawdown

From one of four references: your account size, the highest balance reached, the highest equity reached, or the day's starting balance. Set your account size explicitly and it is measured from the exact figure your firm uses.

Money moved in or out does not distort it. A withdrawal cannot fabricate a drawdown, and where a deposit cannot be attributed with certainty the panel marks the reference as an estimate rather than quietly shifting it.

Drawdown is a hard limit: unlocking does not clear it. It clears when the account is genuinely back inside the rule.

Open risk and exposure

• Concurrent trades — a hard cap on how many can be open
• Total open risk — across every position, in percent or money
• Lot size — a maximum per order
• Per symbol — maximum position value, and maximum volume in lots
• Per direction — maximum position value long and short, separately

Hedged positions count gross, where both legs add up, or net, where they offset. Pending orders can be included or ignored.

Total open risk counts only positions that have a stop. A position without one cannot be priced, so it is reported as unbounded risk rather than silently left out of the sum.

Floating loss, equity floor, margin level

• Floating loss — a cap on unrealised loss, for firms that measure intraday equity rather than closed results
• Equity floor — an absolute line under the account. The simplest rule there is: below this figure, stop
• Margin level — blocks below a level you set, and separately refuses any order whose own margin requirement would push you under it

Consecutive losses

Blocks after a run of losing trades, counted from your closed deal history. The run resets with the new trading day, or when you reset it yourself.

Because it is derived rather than stored, it survives a restart and cannot drift out of step with your account.

Daily profit target

The opposite protection, and for many traders the more useful one: stop trading once the day has gone well. In percent or money, with an option to block new trades once it is reached.

Spread and quote quality

Before every order and again at the moment of sending, the spread is checked against a limit you set — fixed, or a multiple of the symbol's typical spread.

A quote that has stopped updating is treated as unusable rather than as a real price. A shut market is reported as a shut market, not as a feed fault.

Sessions, weekends, news

• Sessions — Asian, London and New York windows with real time zones and daylight saving handled, plus your own custom windows with their own zones, weekdays and names
• Weekend — a cutoff and reopen from times you set, or derived from your broker's own published schedule with a safety margin
• News — blackout windows around economic-calendar events from the native MT5 calendar; choose the currencies, the minimum importance, and the minutes before and after

Each can warn first, stop new trades a set number of minutes early, and optionally close what is open.

Your own lock

One button that ends your trading day. It records when it was set, that you set it rather than a protection, and optionally a reason.

It survives a restart — only you can lift it — and it can keep closing anything opened while the lock stands.

What is always measured on the whole account

Daily loss, drawdown, the equity floor, margin level and floating loss are facts about the account, not about a symbol or a magic number.

Another EA's positions move the same equity yours do, and a prop firm does not care which robot lost the money. So those five are always measured across everything. Nothing in the settings can narrow them.

What happens when a limit is reached

You choose, per limit:

• Block only — refuse new trades, leave open positions alone
• Close positions — flatten, and keep blocking
• Close everything — positions and pending orders

Alongside that, a breach can lock the account automatically.

Soft limits stop blocking when the condition passes. Hard limits — drawdown, the equity floor — do not clear because you pressed a button. They clear when the account is genuinely back inside the rule, and unlocking while one is still breached re-locks within a second.

The lock board marks hard limits with an asterisk, so you can see which is which before you press anything.

A close-all that does not complete is not forgotten. It is recorded, shown on the panel, and resumed after a restart — but only after re-checking that the condition which ordered it is still true.

The panel

Four tabs, because a risk panel answers four different questions.

Always visible

A one-word verdict — SAFE, WARNING, BLOCKED or LOCKED — and beneath it, when something needs saying, a coloured row carrying the single most important condition in full.

At its right is a count. Press it to read every condition, worst first, in the colour of how serious each one is. Nothing is summarised away: if a condition will not fit, the area says how many are left rather than quietly showing a shorter list.

There is also a refresh button that re-reads the account and re-runs every check immediately. It cannot unlock anything, deliberately — locks belong to the lock buttons.

MONITOR — how am I doing?

The largest figure on the panel is the money you can still lose today, with a bar that fills as it is used.

Under it: equity, the day's profit and loss, drawdown, floating profit and loss, open risk, and trades against your cap. Then a row per limit showing where you stand and the line you may not cross.

Green while comfortable. Amber when close. Red when it is the reason you are blocked. Dim when nothing is watching it — which is not the same thing as safe.

TRADE — what can I place, and how big?

The order form, the calculated figures, and the order buttons. Detailed below.

MANAGE — what is open, and what can I do with it?

Close every winner. Close every loser. Move stops to breakeven on the trades far enough ahead. Delete pending orders.

Each acts on several trades at once, so each asks for a second press — the caption changes to CONFIRM while it waits, and reverts on its own if you walk away.

LOCKS — what is stopping me?

A board of seven families: your own lock, money and exposure limits, news, sessions, spread and quote, the weekend, and the terminal or broker itself.

Each reads OK, NEAR LIMIT, BLOCKING or NOT WATCHED. That last one is deliberately not the word "OK": it means the protection is switched off and nothing is checking it.

CLOSE ALL — on every tab

Closes every position and deletes every pending order. It is on every tab because the moment you need it is not the moment to go hunting for it, and it is always two presses.

It explains itself

Hover any button, field or row and a strip along the bottom says what it does — and for the lock board, what its current word means right now.

Press ? for a guide inside the panel: what the tabs are for, a first-five-minutes walkthrough, what every control does, what the colours mean, and what to do when you are blocked. It re-flows to the panel width, so nothing is cut off.

The risk calculator

Type a stop loss and a risk. Read the size before you commit.

• Risk as a percentage of the account, or as an amount of money
• Or give a lot size instead, and the panel tells you what it risks
• Stop and target as a price or as a distance in points, converted either way with one button — so the level you chose stays exactly where you put it
• Every field has plus and minus buttons that step the value

Every order button carries the volume it would send. The size is on the button you are about to press.

How the size is worked out

The loss over your stop distance is priced with your broker's own calculation engine, not with an assumed pip value. The result is snapped down onto the broker's volume step. Then the loss at that volume is re-checked, and stepped down again if it is still over your budget.

The size is never rounded up into a bigger risk than you asked for.

When it will not give you a number

It refuses instead of guessing, and the message says what is wrong: no stop, a stop on the wrong side of the entry, a stop closer than your broker's minimum distance, a symbol that will not accept an attached stop, a broker minimum lot that risks more than your budget allows, not enough margin.

Where a distance is refused as too close, the message names both the entry and the price your broker validates against, and the distance that would be accepted — because those two are a spread apart, and a figure that contradicts the one in your box is not an explanation.

Lines on the chart

ENTRY LINE, SL LINE and TP LINE each place a draggable line and keep the matching field in step with it.

Press once to place. Press again to arm it for dragging — the caption changes so you can see which line the mouse will move. Press a third time to remove it. Only one line is ever armed, so a drag cannot move two.

CLR removes all three and leaves your typed values alone.

Trade management

All optional. All off until you switch it on. All of it working across every symbol from the one chart the EA is attached to.

• Automatic breakeven — moves the stop to the entry price, plus an offset you set, once a position is far enough ahead
• Trailing stop — starts after a set profit, holds a set distance, and only moves when the improvement is worth a modification, so it does not send a request per tick
• Staged take profit — up to three levels at R-multiples you choose, each closing a share of the original volume, optionally moving the stop to breakeven after the first

The ladder's progress is derived from the volume actually closed, not from a stored note. A restart cannot make it fire twice, and a lost setting cannot make it fire again — after a level executes, the arithmetic already says it is done.

The R-multiple is measured from the stop the position was opened with, read from its own deal history. Moving the stop later, by hand or by the trailing engine, does not corrupt the levels.

Partial closes respect your broker's volume step and minimum. If closing your requested share would leave a remainder too small to trade, the whole position is closed instead — and the panel says so. Modifications respect the broker's minimum stop distance and freeze level, so the EA refuses rather than sending something it knows will be rejected.

Why you can trust the plumbing

The part nobody notices until it matters.

Restart and VPS safe

State lives where it survives a terminal restart and an MQL5 Virtual Hosting migration. A restart does not reset the day's baseline, does not clear a lock, and does not lose the equity peak.

Everything derivable from your deal history is rebuilt from scratch on every start. Only what genuinely cannot be derived is stored — and each of those degrades visibly, by saying ESTIMATED, rather than silently.

The trading day never rolls backwards. If your broker's clock is corrected, the day is held where it is — so a daily-loss lock cannot be cleared by a clock change.

It fails closed

In the first seconds after a terminal starts — longer on a VPS — the gate refuses new trades and says so, rather than permitting them because nothing has objected yet. A protection that has not run has not cleared anything.

Where information is missing you choose the policy, and the default is the careful one: an unusable quote, an unresolvable session or an unresolvable weekend cutoff all refuse trades rather than allowing them.

One order, not two

There is exactly one place in the product that sends an order.

A server timeout is reconciled against the account before anything is retried, so a timeout that actually executed is recognised instead of being sent twice. If it cannot be resolved, the panel says the result is unconfirmed and asks you to check before sending another. Identical orders inside a short window are ignored.

Several charts, one manager

Run it on as many charts as you like. Every instance watches, blocks, journals and paints — but only one performs the periodic management, so two charts can never both close a tranche of the same position.

The emergency paths stay redundant in every instance on purpose: a stuck chart must never be the reason nobody closes a position.

Account state is shared between charts field by field, so one panel cannot silently undo a lock another one just set.

It checks its own arithmetic

Switch on one input and the EA verifies its own maths in the journal before you trade: position sizing against hand-computed answers, the drawdown correction against deposits and withdrawals, the session and weekend calendars including daylight saving, the news filter, the consecutive-loss counter, state persistence, and that the gate refuses before it has evaluated anything.

If any check fails it says so at critical level rather than trading on maths it cannot confirm.

It explains itself to support

Every journal line carries a catalogued event code. One input adds a block you can copy in a single selection — the build, your terminal, your broker, the symbol specification and every setting — so a support conversation starts with the facts instead of three messages establishing them.

Set up in five minutes

1. Drag the EA onto one chart of any symbol you trade. One chart covers every symbol.
2. Tick Allow Algo Trading in the dialog.
3. Under 1. Account and trading day, set your firm's daily reset hour in server time. This decides which trades count as today.
4. Under 3. Maximum drawdown, set your account size. This is the single most useful thing you can set: it is the figure your drawdown is measured from.
5. Under 2. Daily loss limit, set your firm's daily limit.
6. Read the Experts tab. The EA prints what it is watching, what it is not watching, and anything worth setting first.

Then test it on a demo account. Place one small trade through each order button. Set a tiny daily limit deliberately, breach it, and watch the panel block, close and lock.

Ten minutes of that is worth more than any description.

Settings

The inputs are numbered as a setup sequence rather than grouped by subsystem. Most traders touch groups 1 to 5 and nothing else.

Groups 18 to 20 are marked Advanced. They hold retry counts, timings and logging. Leave them alone unless support asks.

Which trades it manages

Separately from what it watches, you choose what it manages and closes: every trade on the account, only trades placed by hand, only trades this panel sent, one magic number, a list of them, or a symbol filter over any of those.

The account-level protections above are never narrowed by this setting.

The defaults, and why

Everything that blocks is on: daily loss 4%, drawdown 8%, five concurrent trades, 2% total open risk, spread and quote checks.

Everything that closes your positions is off: breach reactions are set to block only, session and weekend closing are off, the take-profit ladder is off, breakeven and trailing are off.

You switch the closing behaviour on deliberately, once you have watched the EA behave on a demo account. An EA that starts closing positions on its first day because of a default nobody chose is not a protection.

Who it is for

• Traders on a prop-firm evaluation or a funded account with a hard daily-loss and drawdown rule
• Discretionary traders who place orders by hand and want the size calculated rather than estimated
• Anyone who has lost an account to one session rather than one strategy
• Traders running other EAs who want an account-level backstop over all of them

Not for you if you are looking for entry signals or a strategy, you want fully automated trading with no human in the loop, or you trade MetaTrader 4 — this is MT5 only.

What it cannot do

It cannot guarantee profits, prevent losses, or guarantee compliance with any firm's rules. Prop-firm rules differ between firms and change over time — read yours, and configure the software to match them.

Limitations, stated plainly

• No signals. It never opens a position on its own.
• MT5 only. There is no MetaTrader 4 version.
• The terminal must be running. Protection runs inside the terminal, so a closed terminal protects nothing. Use a VPS if you need it watching while you are away.
• News depends on your broker's calendar. Coverage and timestamps come from the native MT5 calendar. It is unavailable to any EA in the Strategy Tester, and the EA reports that rather than pretending to filter.
• One terminal. Several charts in one terminal coordinate with each other. Two separate terminals on the same account do not share state.
• Netting accounts. MetaTrader itself makes magic-number ownership unreliable on netting accounts, because the magic reflects the last deal that modified the position. The EA warns at start-up and recommends a symbol filter instead.
• Transfers while it is not running. A deposit or withdrawal made while the EA was off cannot be attributed, so the drawdown reference is marked as an estimate rather than presented as exact.
• Broker rules still apply. Minimum stop distances, freeze levels, volume steps and trading permissions belong to your broker. The EA refuses rather than sending something it knows will be rejected — but it cannot overrule them.
• Gaps and slippage are real. A stop-loss order is not a guarantee of the price you will receive, and a weekend gap can produce a loss larger than a configured limit. No software on your side of the connection can change that.

Questions

Does it trade for me?

No. It produces no signals and never opens a position by itself. Every order begins with your click on the panel.

Will it guarantee I pass my challenge?

No, and no software can. It enforces the limits you configure. Passing depends on your trading.

Do I need it on every chart?

No. One chart covers every symbol. If you do run it on several, one instance manages your trades and the others keep watching, so you never get two instances acting on one position.

Does it work alongside my other EAs?

Yes. Account-level limits are measured on the whole account regardless of what placed a trade, and you choose separately whether this EA manages only its own trades, only your manual ones, or everything.

What happens if my terminal restarts mid-day?

The day's baseline is not reset, a locked account stays locked, and every figure derivable from your deal history is rebuilt. Anything that could only be observed while running — the equity at the day's open, for example — is marked as an estimate rather than guessed at.

Can I unlock the account after a breach?

You can lift a lock you set yourself. A hard limit that is still breached re-locks within a second: it clears when the account is genuinely back inside the rule, not because a button was pressed.

Will a deposit or withdrawal break my drawdown figure?

No. Money moved in or out shifts the reference rather than counting as profit or loss. Where a transfer cannot be attributed with certainty, the panel says the reference is an estimate.

Does the daily reset follow my broker's clock or mine?

Your broker's server time, at the hour and minute you set. And the trading day never rolls backwards, so a clock correction cannot clear a daily-loss lock.

Does it work on a VPS?

Yes. State is kept where it survives an MQL5 Virtual Hosting migration, and the panel can be switched off entirely to run headless.

Which symbols and account types?

Any symbol your broker offers, hedging or netting, any account currency. Sizing uses your broker's own pricing rather than assuming a pip value, so gold, indices, JPY crosses and CFDs are priced correctly.

Why does a limit show NOT WATCHED?

Because that protection is switched off, so nothing is checking it. It is deliberately not the same word as OK.

Can I use it in the Strategy Tester?

Yes, for the panel and the arithmetic, including the self-verification of the sizing maths. The economic calendar is not available to any EA in the tester, so news filtering cannot be tested there.

Does it need an internet connection to validate a licence?

No. It has no external dependencies, no web calls and no mandatory files.

Can I use it on a live account and a demo at the same time?

Yes. State is namespaced per account and per server, so two accounts never share a lock or a baseline.

How do I get support?

Through MQL5 chat. Switch on the diagnostics input and copy the block marked "copy from here" out of the Experts tab: it carries the build, your terminal, your broker, the symbol specification and your settings.

Risk disclaimer
