🚫 Why Backtesting Shows No Results — And Why That's Normal
If you run this EA in the MT5 Strategy Tester, you will see no trades or minimal activity. This is intentional and expected.
HFT strategies exploit micro-bursts of volatility at the tick level, relying on real ECN execution conditions specific to SLF prop firm servers. The MT5 Strategy Tester cannot replicate:
- Real-time tick-by-tick ECN execution on SLF servers
- Live spread behavior during volatile US30 sessions
- SLF server latency and actual fill conditions
Backtest results for HFT strategies are not just useless — they are actively misleading. An EA that looks great in the Tester may fail live, and vice versa. Rather than show fake backtest curves, this EA is honest about its limitations and lets the real proof speak for itself: a verified SLF Certificate of Achievement from a passed challenge.
This is not a sign the EA doesn't work. It is a sign of transparency.
🔧 How It Works
At every tick, the EA measures the volatility of recent price movement against the live spread. When the volatility/spread ratio exceeds a configurable threshold (default: 3.0), the EA places a simultaneous Buy Stop above the ask and Sell Stop below the bid (OCO — One-Cancels-Other). The first order triggered cancels the other immediately.
A tick-level trailing stop activates from entry, locking in profit at every price movement.
No directional prediction required — the EA captures micro-bursts of volatility during active market sessions.
💡 Why Only SLF EA Challenge?
SLF EA Challenge accounts have no commissions — spread only. This HFT strategy generates profit on 1–4 point moves that would be wiped out by commissions on a standard live account. On SLF's ECN prop servers, the execution is fast enough to make the strategy viable.
Other prop firms (FTMO, Funding Pips, Apex...) use different server conditions, commission structures or rule sets that are incompatible with this strategy. Do not use on other firms.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Does this work on FTMO? No. This EA is not compatible with FTMO. FTMO's server conditions, rules and commission structure are different. Use exclusively on SLF EA Challenge accounts.
Why is backtesting disabled? HFT strategies rely on real-time ECN tick execution. The MT5 Strategy Tester cannot simulate live server latency, real spread behavior or ECN fill conditions. Backtest results would be completely unreliable and misleading. The EA blocks the Tester intentionally to avoid confusion.
Which account size? Validated on $100,000 SLF EA Challenge. Compatible with other account sizes — lot sizing auto-scales with balance.
How long to pass the challenge? Typically 1–5 trading days depending on market conditions on US30.
