I noticed that some brokers have a rather small "volume limit" for bitcoin, which means that the total sum of the lotsizs from all open trades, can not exceed for example 10lots.
This will limit the growth potential in backtests (and live trading), but can be circumvented, but splitting up the account into multiple smaller ones, and we run the EA on each of those smaller accounts instead of 1 big account.
To remove the volume limit for backtesting, and see the real growth potential, you can do as below
Hi Wim, I'm from Germany. I have a few years of experience with stocks and only 2-3 years with trading, but I've only been using robots for a week. I'm amazed at how well even the free robots work. But I'm fascinated by your work, and I just bought your Bitcoin Reaper. Can you tell me if I need to configure anything to get started? I've saved the domain in the options. Greet Logo

hi mate,
thx for joining!
The setup is explained on the product page (run on H1 Bitcoin Chart) and make sure you added the worldtime URL to your MT5 settings as descibed on the product page.
Other than that, simply select your preferred max allowed total Drawdown, and the EA will do the rest :-)
If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact me in private message!
I just bought your Bitcoin Reaper EA and have no doubt it will be a success!
I use ICTrading due to the fact IC Markets EU has low leverage as you probably know. Are there recommended brokers for this EA or is it fine to use ICTrading?

ICTrading is just fine yes. It's the same pricefeed as ICMarkets. I use both
I'm trying to backtest this on real tick data from ICMarkets and also dukascopy. I'm getting just loss after loss in the strategy tester, no matter which set I use. Can you think of anything I'm doing wrong? When I test on normal data inside blackbull markets, it works well.

All my tests were done on ICMarkets using real ticks, so if yours is giving losses only, something is loss. Please contact me in private so I can help you out

Hi Wim, which timeframe do you suggest for all of the sets you posted?
This EA runs on H1 timeframe. You can see description on the Overview tab
Hello Wim, you said that the minimum account is 150$, right ? But it's a cent account ?
no, normal one.
It's not ideal though... it will run only the minimum of strategies, and it won't be "low risk"
Good start! :-)
How sensitive is the EA to latency? Is a latency of 60-70 ms OK? Thanks
no problem.
the EA is not really sensitive to latency, since it uses pending orders, and SL management is done once per hour
