BOT_AutoTrade_MT5 is built with exceptional flexibility in mind, empowering traders to fine-tune their strategy selection, signal sensitivity, and risk management to best match market conditions and personal preferences.
🎯 Three Adaptive Strategy Modes
The EA offers three core operating modes through the StrategyModeEnum, giving users full control over how trading signals are evaluated:
Simple Mode (MODE_SIMPLE)
A direct approach where trades are filtered through a comprehensive set of classic indicators such as:
RSI, MACD, Moving Averages, Bollinger Bands, ADX, SAR
Volume-based tools like OBV, MFI, VWAP
Momentum and volatility indicators: WPR, CCI, ROC, Ichimoku, AO
Pattern-based signals: Fractals, Support/Resistance, Envelopes, Gator Oscillator, Alligator, Accelerator
Strategy Mode (MODE_STRATEGY)
Select a specific trading strategy, and the EA will automatically use a predefined set of indicators tailored for that approach. Available strategies include:
Breakout, Trend Following, Swing Trading
Mean Reversion, Momentum, Contrarian, Range-Bound, Pullback
Each strategy uses its own curated group of indicators to evaluate opportunities that align with the selected trading philosophy.
Multi-Strategy Mode (MODE_MULTISTRATEGY)
The most intelligent mode — the EA executes strategy consensus voting, evaluating multiple strategies in parallel and only executing trades when a sufficient number of them agree. This can reduce noise and improve trade quality in uncertain or ranging markets.

In addition to strategy flexibility, BOT_AutoTrade_MT5 offers configurable SL/TP logic to adapt risk-reward ratios based on volatility, time, or indicator-driven thresholds. You can:

MT5 EA Trading Journal
I've been developing and testing my own MT5 Expert Advisor (EA) that executes trades automatically based on multiple technical signals. The EA currently includes the following features:
- Customizable trade entries based on a required number of signals (currently supports 12 common technical indicators)
- Configurable Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP)
- Adjustable trade volume
- Telegram integration to send trade notifications to a group
For now, the default settings are:
- Minimum of 4 confirmed signals to enter a trade
- TP set at +1% from entry price
- SL set at -0.5%
- Minimum lot size of the symbol
After 5 days of development and demo account testing, the balance has grown from $200 to $340.
Upcoming features:
- Trading time window (only trade during specific hours)
- Dynamic SL/TP (e.g., trailing stop to secure profits, extended TP levels)
- Daily profit/loss limits for risk management
This is a personal project for learning and hands-on experience.
