when loading the indicator, the pop up window states not enough history for NZDUSD and so many other currency pairs. What should i do correct to download the indicator so that it works?

You have to open all charts, select M1 timeframe and roll history to the right with mouse for several months. MT4 will download history.

can I just open the 8 major currency pairs or I have to open all the 28 currency pairs (excluding exotic pairs)?

Delete pairs from indicator parameters.
