EA GOLD HUNTER TREND V3.29 is an automated trading system (Expert Advisor) designed for a Trend Following strategy combined with Smart Money Concepts (SMC/ICT) and a multi-layered account-level risk management system .

1. Core Working Mechanisms

• Trend Following Strategy: Uses Fast (20) and Slow (50) Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) on M5 (Entry TF) and M15 (Trend TF) timeframes to determine market direction, with an optional Macro Filter on the H4 timeframe .

• Filters & SMC Confirmations:

  • FVG (Fair Value Gap) Filter: Checks for 3-candle price imbalances on both M5 and M15 before permitting order execution .

  • SMC Swing Filter: Checks if the price is at an H4 Swing High or Swing Low (disabled by default) .

  • Tick-Speed & Volatility Filter: Temporarily pauses order entry if abnormal tick speed or ATR volatility exceeds the average .

  • Adaptive Spread Filter: Prevents order execution when the spread is wider than the historical average .

• Trade Management:

  • Automated lot calculation (Auto Lot) based on account risk percentage ( InpRiskPercent = 1.0% ) or a fixed lot option .

  • ATR-Adaptive Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP), along with Trailing Stop, Break-Even, and Partial Close functions (taking 50% profit when reaching the target) .

2. Execution Guidelines & Capital

• ***Optimal Timing: The EA should be run when the market is in a Sideway (SW) condition, for only 1 to 3 to 5 days. Afterward, once the market returns to a Sideway condition again, it can be resumed.***

• Reasoning: Because the EA focuses on short-term profit generation, it is unsuitable for long-term holding due to high risk.

• Recommended Capital: The creator has already established optimal default settings, allowing users to start running immediately with a capital of 1,000 USD or 10,000 Cent/USC.

3. Account-Level Protections

• Account Drawdown Protection (DD Guard): When Equity drops from its peak to the specified threshold ( 15.0% ), the system immediately stops opening new orders while continuing to manage existing ones, featuring Auto-Resume and Flat-Resume Valve to restore status once the portfolio is clear .

• Hard Kill-Switch (V3.29): An ultimate protection system measuring drawdown from an all-time peak with no reset ( g_equity_alltime_peak ). If cumulative losses reach  40% , the system forces all positions to close and stops operating permanently until the EA is manually reloaded .

• Global Profit Lock: Locks cumulative profits across all positions (both main trend and grid) when the net profit target ( 50.0 ) is reached, closing all positions simultaneously in a single trade .

• Core Risk Sizing Decoupling: Separates the base capital of the main strategy from the profits/losses of the grid module to prevent grid profits from inflating the main trend lot size .

4. Grid / Martingale Add-On (High Risk)

• The Grid/Martingale module operates independently with its own Magic Number, increasing lot sizes step-by-step ( InpGridLotMultiplier = 1.18 ) and opening counter-trend averaging orders when prices move unfavorably (up to 15 orders), closing together when the profit target is met ( InpGridTargetMoney = 10.0 ) .

• Features a specific risk protection called  InpGridMaxLossStop  to force-close the entire basket if floating losses exceed a specified percentage of equity .

5. Risk Warnings

• High Risk from Grid / Martingale: Although the grid module is decoupled and includes risk limiters, increasing lots and averaging counter-trend carries very high risk, which can lead to severe losses or account blowouts during strong, one-sided trends .

• Market Volatility Risk: Gold trading involves high volatility. Major news or liquidity abnormalities can cause slippage and make stop-loss (SL or Kill-Switch) executions deviate from targets .

• Impact of Permanent Shutdown (Hard Kill-Switch): If the Hard Kill-Switch triggers at the  40%  level, the account will be forced to close and stop immediately. Users must accept this level of damage and manually inspect the system before restarting .
