The default setfile is not working on XM, 2022-2025:

Please note that the Default settings are a generic baseline and are not optimized for every specific broker's data feed, especially over a long period like 2022-2025 which had high volatility. XM Standard accounts can also have wider spreads which affects scalping logic.

To help me verify this, could you clarify:

  1. Which Symbol and Timeframe is this?
  2. Is this a Standard or Ultra-Low account?

It's a demo ultra-low standard account on XM. I used it on EURUSD#, GBPUSD# and GOLD#, all H1.

Thank you for providing the details. It is an ultra-low account, which is good for scalping, but you will have to configure the EA for it. The set files in the comments could be a good starting point, as they are optimized for XAUUSD (Gold) and other commodities especially for scalping. But as it is an ultra-low account you would still need to change some settings as your broker may have different spread and minimum lot size than mine. As for EURUSD and GBPUSD, there are currently no set files for those (as I am not trading those symbols because of the higher commission), but I can help you test and find the ideal settings. In any case, the default setting is just a baseline, so you will have to configure the EA for the different symbols (as EURUSD, GBPUSD and XAUUSD have very different type of "personalities").
