Hello,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. I'd be happy to help you get the EA running optimally.
The EA's parameters are designed for granular control, and some of them may not be compatible with the standard MT5 optimization process, which is why manual testing is often recommended.
To better assist you, could you please let me know:
Which specific input parameters are you trying to optimize?
Which currency pair and timeframe are you testing on?
Martingale strategies can be quite specific, and I'm confident we can find a configuration that works for you. Would you be open to discussing this further? I can share some recommended settings to get you started.
Thank you!
Thanks for this.
It could be great IF you has specific sets ready!!
E.g. For the HFT on USDJPY.
Or EMA cross on EURUSD.
Then with specific detail like min balance, max DD seen etc.
:-)
Br,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Thank you for this excellent suggestion! Providing specific .set files with performance stats like max DD is a fantastic idea that I would love to implement.
You've highlighted a key challenge: performance can vary significantly between brokers due to differences in spread, execution speed, and server times.A .set file optimized for one broker might not perform as well on another.
To help me create the most useful and reliable settings, could you please share which broker you are using?
If anyone else reading this is interested, please share your broker in the comments as well!
Hello everyone,
a quick note on the strategy behind the Martingale Pulse EA.
I wanted to clarify the meaning of the name. While "Martingale" is the core engine, the "Pulse" is what makes this EA unique. This is not just a standard Martingale strategy; I have integrated a powerful suite of options and filters designed to give you more control, minimize your risk, and maximize your profit potential.
High Versatility on Precious Metals & More
One of the key strengths of this EA is its flexibility across different instruments.
It has shown excellent performance on a wide range of pairs, especially precious metals,
including:
Gold crosses (XAUUSD, XAUEUR, XAUJPY, etc.)
Silver crosses (XAGUSD, XAGAUD, etc.)
Palladium & Platinum (XPDUSD, XPTUSD)
...and many others.
I encourage you to test it on your favorite pair in the Strategy Tester. If you have any questions about the strategy or its features,
please feel free to ask here in the comments.
Happy trading,
Md Abdul Manann (Developer)

XAUUSD (Gold/USD) Backtest results of August 2025, Version 1.10 (Setfile Attached)
This appears to be a backtest report for a trading strategy on XAUUSD (Gold) conducted on the IC Markets brokerage platform for August 2025.
Here's a breakdown of the results:
High-Level Summary:
The strategy was profitable during this period, turning an initial deposit of $1,000 into a total net profit of $416.52. This represents a respectable gain with a solid profit factor. The risk-reward metrics suggest a robust strategy, though the drawdown should be noted.
Key Performance Metrics:
Total Net Profit: $416.52. The strategy yielded a positive return on the initial capital.
Profit Factor: 4.32. This is a strong metric. A profit factor above 2 is generally considered very good, and above 3 is excellent. It indicates that the gross profit was 4.32 times larger than the gross loss.
Maximal Drawdown: 76.98 (6.44%). This is the largest peak-to-trough drop in the account's equity. A drawdown of 6.44% is generally considered acceptable and indicates good risk management.
Total Trades: 148. This is a reasonable number of trades for a month-long backtest, providing a decent sample size to evaluate the strategy's performance.
Profit Trades: 86 (58.77%). The strategy had a winning percentage of just under 60%, which is solid.
Average Profit Trade vs. Average Loss Trade: The average profit per trade was $7.78, while the average loss was -$6.67. This positive risk-to-reward ratio contributed to the overall profitability, even with a win rate that wasn't exceptionally high.
Analysis of Trading Activity:
Entries by Hour (Asia, Europe, USA): The majority of trading activity appears to be concentrated during the European and US sessions, from approximately 09:30 to 22:30 server time. This is typical for XAUUSD as these sessions often have the highest volatility.
Entries by Weekday: Trading activity is fairly evenly distributed throughout the week, with a slight dip on Friday. This suggests the strategy is active on all trading days.
Entries by Month: As the backtest was only for August 2025, all trades are concentrated in that month. The profits and losses by month chart confirms this, showing a significant spike in both profitable and losing trades in August.
Inferred Strategy Type:
Based on the high number of trades and the relatively small average profit and loss per trade, this is likely a high-frequency or scalping strategy. The concentration of trades during high-volatility sessions further supports this.
Concluding Remarks:
Overall, this backtest presents a promising automated trading strategy for XAUUSD. The profitability is consistent, the profit factor is excellent, and the drawdown is well-contained. However, it's crucial to remember that past performance is not indicative of future results. Further testing over a longer period and in different market conditions would be necessary to validate the robustness of this strategy. The consistent performance across different weekdays is a positive sign.
