Love your Renko EA and I really appreciate the effort you made in making the expert work for systems not providing market data. At the risk of seeming ungrateful I have one request. The expert only provides back data to the beginning of 2024. Can you change the code to provide at least 2 years of data. One of the things I love about renko is the instant visibility of supply/demand zones but unfortunately 6 months worth of data is just not enough. Thanks ... Herb

Good evening, Herb! Glad you liked RenkoChart and thanks for the constructive feedback. We will try to resolve your problem.

The problem you are facing is probably related to your broker not providing market depth (not providing enough historical data). The RenkoChart tool does not limit the amount of data used to generate Renko bricks; it uses all available chart data from the MetaTrader 5 platform.

But we can try an alternative to try to solve the problem:

Check the bar quantity setting in MetaTrader 5:
- Go to Tools → Options → Charts → Maximum bars on chart.
- Select the "Unlimited" option.
- Close and reopen MetaTrader 5.

If your broker provides market depth, you should see more bars on the chart after that.

If, after performing these steps, you still only see data from the last 6 months, the problem is the limitation of the historical data provided by your broker. In this case, the only solution would be to change brokers or ask your broker to make more historical data available.

What you are facing is not a problem! I'll explain to you what's happening.

What is happening is that, just like other Renko in the MQL5 market, the RenkoChart EA receives symbol data in real time. This means that if within a 5-minute interval the price rises by 1000 points and falls by 1000 points, the respective Renko bricks of these moves will be formed. Renko does not depend on the closing of a candles in a certain timeframe, as it is a timeless chart.

Therefore, new Renko bricks will be formed as price changes occur, regardless of time.

When I turn it off and on again, those renko boxes are no longer there, simply put, the market fluctuates strongly, it doubles a few blocks creating small waves. only when I turn it off and on again does it show the correct price move

RenkoChart EA uses M1 bars to speed up Renko brick calculations during the expert's initialization. Otherwise, initialization could take minutes or even hours, depending on the number of bars displayed on the chart of your Metatrader 5 platform. After being attached to the chart, the expert uses the trading ticks received in real time by the platform as a data source. That is why you notice some Renko bricks missing in smaller sizes when the expert is initialized. In larger Renko bricks (where the brick size is equal to or larger than the M1 bar size), this problem does not occur.

In the product description, I specify that "The Renko generated at the expert's initialization provides up to 95% accuracy for small Renko bars and 100% accuracy for larger Renko bars". In the future, I plan to modify the RenkoChart EA code to allow specifying the Renko brick calculation method: Use All Ticks, Use M1 bars, Use M5 bars, ... Coming soon, in the new RenkoChart EA update.

Infelizmente esse problema não pode ser resolvido devido as limitações da linguagem de programação MQL5, o comportamento do timestamp avançar para horários no futuro ao usar tijolos Renko extremamente pequenos é uma limitação da própria estrutura do MetaTrader 5. A plataforma trabalha com um tempo gráfico mínimo de 1 minuto, ou seja, não é possível representar duas barras com o mesmo timestamp. Como os tijolos Renko são formados com base em movimentações de preço e não em tempo fixo, quando usamos tijolos muito menores que a oscilação típica de uma barra de 1 minuto, a quantidade de tijolos gerados pode superar facilmente a quantidade de candles M1 disponíveis. Por isso, quando há muitos tijolos a mais do que barras de 1 minuto, o EA precisa "empurrar" esses tijolos para o futuro, atribuindo timestamps que ainda não aconteceram — o que causa essa aparência de adianto no gráfico.

Infelizmente, essa limitação só poderia ser resolvida se a plataforma permitisse tempos gráficos menores que 1 minuto (como 1 segundo, por exemplo) ou possibilitasse múltiplas barras com o mesmo timestamp, o que atualmente não é possível no Metatrader 5.

Mas vale lembrar: esse efeito só aparece quando o tamanho do tijolo é extremamente pequeno em relação à volatilidade média da barra M1. Com tijolos maiores ou proporcionais à movimentação real de mercado, esse descolamento de tempo não ocorre.

Thanks for the EA Generator. It works great.

The problem I encountered is, indicators performance gets slower and slower on renko but not on regular TF charts. I test with a Simple Indicator that has just the following codes in "OnCalculate(..." 

  cnt++;

  if (cnt <= 10) {

     Alert("Count: ", cnt, " prev_calculated: ", prev_calculated, " begin: ", begin); 

  }

cnt is a global variable.

It seems that prev_calculated is always 0 on every tick, so indicator will recalculate all bars on every tick, these redundant calculations caused all indicators attached to the renko chart to slow down over time.

Is there a fix for this?

Ainda estou na fase dos estudos e vi que no seu codigo não é posivel alterar o time do servidor
