Hello,

What would be a good general setting for the trailing stop?

I would want it to stay fairly close to the TP line so i can lock in my profits, but not to close so the trade has room to move.

It depends on many factors like which pair you are trading, what spread you are getting and your personal risk management (SL-TP). Please test it first accordingly and find out what settings work best for you. For example, I am trading EURUSD with spread of <1 pip then with my risk management, setting Trailing Steps= 1 to 5 and Trailing Start= 25% to 30% of my TP works best for me.
