Hey Lee, two ideas for you.
1. Would it be possible to to add a "button" to the chart window that would allow us to switch from aggressive to simple mode without having to go into the settings to tweak it? It would be nice to adjust on the fly!
2. Could you add an option for Aggressive Mode on the dashboard as well?
Here's a little "How I am using this indicator" for people. I thought it might be helpful for newbies.
Here's a few screenshots for those on the fence about this indicator. Sometimes I think it's helpful to see some other views from other traders using the indicator. I use a 20 SMA, I check 4 and 1 hour for overall trend, and if I'm seeing a trend reversal I watch to see if it's going down to the 1 hour MAs as well.
Otherwise, I use the Weekly Session Cycle and Daily Session Cycle method. Look up Generational Wealth's Weekly Cycle videos for an intro on this.
So here's a 4 hour TF to see how accurate this can be. I probably wouldn't trade that second bearish breakout because it's too close to the MAs, but if I wanted to quickly scalp I could, but otherwise, stay out if it's too close to the MAs.
Another quick example. This is on the 5 minute TF. This is WITHOUT the Aggressive mode on. During consolidation, aggressive mode might be giving you too many signals, so either take it off aggressive mode or go up a timeframe to 15 minute. My MAs are pointing towards buy right now, so I'd take those 3 buy signals and hold off on sells until there's greater distance from the MAs before countertrend trading.
Here's one more. Pay attention to where you're at in the trend and in relation to your MAs. If your signal is with trend but you're too far away from the trend, it's probably going to retrace on you and stop you out. Same with the countertrend signal, if you're too close to the trend, you're probably going to get stopped out.
Final note about this chart. That bottom, failed "Sell" breakout turned out to be a fabulous BUY. It highlighted the support wonderfully!
I hope that was helpful for people, and I hope Lee Samson doesn't mind my sharing this. Your indicator is really REALLY on point with my strategy, so I appreciate it, and I think others might find it helpful trying it with this strategy as well.
Good luck everyone.
Great explanation of another strategy for the indicator. Thank you for sharing.
I'm planning to do a few videos with the way I trade using them too at some point when time allows.
Theres no plans for any switching from aggressive to normal mode as it's really designed to be in normal mode all the time and that is how I and all other traders I trade with using it tend to have it. Aggressive gives too many signals as you pointed out most of the time as price spends a lot of time in balance or consolidation. I've done quite extensive testing on many pairs with aggressive mode and there are too many false signals and the profit from the winners doesnt give any better R:R so not very useful. If you monitor all pairs you will get plenty of good signals a day on normal mode, more than you would want to trade in fact usually! :)
The dashboard no plans for aggressive as the same reason really.
Thanks again for your input. Very useful.

That makes sense. I appreciate the aggressive mode because using the daily cycle I know when to pay attention to the signals and when to ignore, but I get where it would be too much for some.
Thnaks for nice examples of indicators and again tnx Lee for this indicator!!
@LEE SAMSON could you pls explain this in indi and dashboard settings

The indicator uses SEMAFOR as part of the calculation to draw order blocks. This basically helps in the calculations of new highs and lows so it knows when to draw in order blocks. This isn't something that needs changing or adjusting but is there for some that requested it and know SEMAFOR. I have found no advantage in development of the indicator in changing these at all hense the message to leave default if not familiar. Hope that explains. :)

@LEE SAMSON it would be very nice for next update to include alert for price returning back to breaker and to formed source after braking that breaker.....it will give us best signal when to enter the trades
Hi, I have looked at a way of coding this into the indicator before and personally I don't wait for retests but I know some traders do. It's hard to code the in and when playing with that process I found way too many alerts being issued and they were hard to get accurate. You will get a lot of breaker alerts which are no good due to being out of agreement with direction of higher timeframes etc... If all of those bad signals also alerted on retests you would find alerts going off constantly on breaker retests you are not interested in and it would become very annoying.
Also do you signal on entry to the retest, exit after a retest, on open candle, on closed candle, does a candle have to close inside the source etc.... Every trader takes a trade on retests in a different way but one constant that exists is the breaker which the indicator (and dashboard) was designed to issue alerts on. It's just a nudge to go and look at your charts and do analysis and then if you are a retest only of breaker or source (peak formation block) trader then you can put it on a watchlist.
Personally the way I would handle your situation is when I get a breaker I would set an alert in MT4 (right click on chart > trading > set alert) at the level I want price to retest so I can get notified if it happens. Then you can set the alerts the way YOU like a retest to happen personally and ONLY on those breakers you are interested in that have alignment with other factors you like to trade like higher timeframe confluence etc...
Hope that help.

Now when I read your comment I found it very usefull to think about this in other way and I must tell you that you are really right!! I would be the one that would turn off that indi if it alerted me so much!!
tnx a lot
Hi Samson,
I'd just like to thank you for creating an indicator which solves a heap of problem for me. The indicator is does well identifying the order blocks, especially for those who are trading Supply and Demand.
May I know if you are able to create a MT5 version for the indicator any time soon?

Glad you are finding it useful. No plans for MT5 version at the moment as don't know many people that use it currently. Will look into it at some point when MT5 gets more popular but most brokers still push MT4 which is why it has a larger following.

Hello, I rented this indicator and it looks good, but I do not know how to use it well. I want to work on the frame for the minute or the 5 minutes. Are there special settings to work on these frames and I noticed that it gives signals then they disappear to appear in another place
It would be much more useful if it kept false boxes printed. This is a core problem with most zigzag indicators.
I would also recommend tuning the sensitivity so it is more aggressive during the asia session, and more conservative during the eu session to account for expected volatility differences.
