I just bought the indicator, for the Divergence indicator part, you recommend using MACD or RSI?

I recommend MACD. Specially on H4 and higher time frames. Fewer signals but higher quality. There are many opionions how to tweak the MACD settings but according to my expericence the default MACD settings will in the long term will give the most accurate signals.

However, now in the beginning I recommend you to test the indicator without having divergence enabled so that you will get more signals and a feel for how the indicator works.

how do i disable the "first top" alert? i only want to be alerted after. price breaks the neckline. i'm being bombarded by these alerts

Also, I only see lines being drawn on the chart and doesn't really show a double top or bottom. For instance, this is how this indicator looks like on the chart 



Another indicator however detected the double top pattern that was formed. 



To summarize, how can i get this to only send alerts after a neckline break and not send any for "first top or bottom" and also detect double tops/bottoms like the one in the screenshot? Thanks

Hello and thanks for your message.

In order to be alerted about neckline breakout you must set the value in the 'Alert only at neckline breakout' input to True.

If you would like to see top/bottoms like in your example you can set the value in the 'Min. amount of bars between extremums' input to for instance 10. If you don't want the RSI filter then please set the value in the 'RSI filter method' to Disabled.

Both of my answers are also well documented in the product's blog. I think that you will find the answer to most of your questions there.

thanks for the reply. I get no alerts when I change the Alert to "Alert only at neckline breakout". Is there a setfile that has worked for you that you can share? 

The breakouts are not so common as unconfirmed top/bottoms. So please wait for a day or two and you will get alerts. The frequencey depends a little on if you have enabled also the lower time frames. Please also make sure you have it setup according to the screenshot below (form the blog).

That can't be true. Neckline breaks happen all the time. I have M5 all the way to H4 enabled. For instance, this neckline break happened on the M5 ( using another indicator ) but yours never detected it. The only reason I can't use that indicator is the signals come in late ( about 3 candles after the neckline break ). Yours however doesn't detect it at all even after changing " Min. amount of bars between extremums" to 10. 

This is probably a indicator setting issue. I will write you a private message in a short while and we will go from there.
