I have read the users manual. I am trying to test the Advanced Currency Impulse with Alerts MT5. Clicked on the Free Demo, downloaded into MT5 strategy tester, went through Setup, with M5 & custom time period for previous month, clicked Start.  The tester begins running, plotting candlesticks and showing the message in the lower window above the 8 currency buttons,

"WAITING FOR UPDATE.../243 bars missing. Counter: xxx, Please wait cleaning up old data... 10."

It finished testing and stops. There are no alerts, no display of the currencies in the lower window, not anything except candlesticks. I then changed the time period to 1 week. The same results, "zip dot nada."  I must be missing something, so if anyone can point out the error in what I'm doing, it would be much appreciated.

Hello John,

please test with the MT4 version. MT5 tester have problems to read the external charts. (Maybe it will make it if you turn the speed very slow?)

If you wish you can try demo with strategy tester but strategy tester does not work correctly with multi-currency functions and does not show alerts.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried again with MT4 DEMO version. It works with limited feature set. Very nice.

Also tried the Currency Strength28. It looks phenomenal when used with Impulse.

A few more questions.

1. Since MT5 will be the future for MetaQuotes and brokers' support, and MT4 is going to end-of-life, I think it was mentioned somewhere that buying Advanced Currency IMPULSE with ALERT MT5 given a license for MT5 plus MT4 use on some number of PCs. Is this correct?

2. Does the Advanced Currency IMPULSE with ALERT MT5/MT4 license have hooks to integrate into an EA? What additional instructions/manual is provided?

I have no information on that. Can you link where you found that?

I gess 95% of traders are still on MT4, so I would not worry about it.

You can import all buffers with iCustom to your EA.

Hello Bernard! I have rented for a year Currency strentgh 28 Mt4, supply and demmand Mt4 and Currency impulse with alertthat I was wrong and I bought it for Mt5- I wrote you 2 days ago to request your help and see how I can change the Impulse with alert for my version Mt4, but you do not answer me, since I am paying rent for an indicator that does not work for me. If you did not use 1 activation (should not be because it will not show on MT4) you can change it. Try with service desk. They might take a few days to answer.
