Bitcoin Regime Matrix
Bitcoin Regime Matrix is a closed-bar BTCUSD regime indicator for MetaTrader 5. It is designed for H1 and classifies the market as LONG, SHORT or NEUTRAL.
The indicator combines a slow exponential baseline with a slope filter, confirmed entry distance, exit hysteresis and realized-volatility measurement. Its dashboard keeps the active regime, recommended exposure, annualized volatility and distance from the baseline visible without covering the chart.
Main functions
- LONG, SHORT and NEUTRAL regime classification
- confirmed signals based only on completed H1 candles
- no arrows or trading events on the forming candle
- separate entry and exit thresholds to reduce rapid state changes
- volatility-adjusted exposure information with configurable limits
- entry and exit markers on the chart
- compact dark dashboard
- popup, push, email and sound alerts
- public buffers for advanced iCustom integration
- no DLL, WebRequest, external file or subscription dependency
Recommended use
Use the indicator on the broker's Bitcoin versus US dollar symbol and the H1 timeframe. The documented research workflow uses one position, fixes exposure at entry and does not average, pyramid or rebalance. A NEUTRAL event closes the active regime; a confirmed opposite event reverses it.
The product is an indicator and does not execute orders. Symbol names and contract specifications differ between brokers.
Research scope
The fixed default rule set was studied on public BTCUSDT H1 data covering more than six years, with next-bar execution, proportional cost stress and 135 nearby parameter combinations. Screenshots and reports show simulated historical research, not real account performance. Results can differ materially on a broker BTCUSD feed.
The fixed H1 rule set used by this release was also tested on ICMarketsEU-Demo BTCUSD H1 from 2020.01.01 to 2026.10.01 using the MT5 one-minute OHLC model. With $10,000 of reference capital, the simulation ended at $51,717.38, a simulated net gain of $41,717.38. It produced 143 trades, a 2.51 profit factor and 25.96% maximum relative equity drawdown at 94% history quality. These are feed-specific historical simulation results, not a promise, forecast or real account record.
