Multi Symbol Channel Breakouts

Multi Symbol Channel Breakouts (MSCB) is an automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that trades XAUUSD and USDJPY from one installation.

The EA uses a separate channel breakout strategy for each instrument. Gold and USDJPY have independent trading logic, trading sessions and risk settings.

MSCB automatically calculates trading channels, identifies breakout levels, places the required orders and manages open trades according to its configured rules.

Strategy

The trading process is based on predefined price channels.

For each supported instrument, the EA calculates a trading range and determines the relevant breakout levels. When the required conditions are satisfied, MSCB places and manages the corresponding orders.

XAUUSD and USDJPY operate independently. A trading opportunity on one instrument is not required for the other instrument to trade.

Supported instruments

MSCB is designed for:

XAUUSD — Gold

USDJPY — US Dollar / Japanese Yen

Different brokers can use different symbol names. For example, Gold may appear as XAUUSD, XAUUSD.a, XAUUSDm or GOLD.

The symbol inputs should be set to the exact names used by your broker.

Installation and settings

Install MSCB through the MQL5 Market and attach it to the recommended H1 chart.

Before enabling automated trading, check:

  • XAUUSD and USDJPY symbol names
  • Position-sizing settings
  • Trading sessions
  • Maximum trade limits
  • Other available trade-management parameters

Automated trading must be enabled in MetaTrader 5.

Testing the EA in the Strategy Tester and on a demo account before live deployment is recommended.

Risk information

Trading leveraged financial instruments involves risk.

Historical backtests are simulations and cannot reproduce every condition that may occur in live trading. Performance can vary between brokers because of execution, spread, commission, liquidity, leverage and contract specifications.
