Trading within consolidation ranges presents distinct execution challenges for active intraday traders and scalpers. Taking positions inside quiet, bound ranges often leads to whipsaws from boundary wicks, buying into immediate resistance pullbacks, or entering late into exhausted price legs after momentum has already peaked. Without systematic criteria to differentiate genuine trend initiation from low-volume boundary tests, traders risk repeated false starts.
This indicator addresses this issue by requiring verified candle range expansion. It bypasses indecisive tests of consolidation levels and triggers only when price closes outside the established boundary with an outsized, directional expansion candle. Visual BUY Confirmation
- A setup develops when price transitions from a consolidation phase with an expanded bullish candle breaking and closing decisively above the upper range ceiling.
- The signal confirms on the close of the breakout candle.
- The open of the subsequent candle serves as the execution reference point.
Visual SELL Confirmation
- A setup develops when price transitions from a consolidation phase with an expanded bearish candle breaking and closing decisively below the lower range floor.
- The signal confirms on the close of the breakdown candle.

Structural Stop Loss Placement
- The indicator calculates a protective Stop Loss reference positioned outside the recent structural swing of the consolidation.
- A configurable volatility buffer adds distance beyond the swing level to account for spread variations and brief retest wicks.
