════════════════ ALLIGATOR EXACT SIGNAL MT5 No-Repaint Buy/Sell Arrows + 17 Smart Filters + Full Alerts ════════════════
Alligator Exact Signal MT5 is a professional chart-window indicator for MetaTrader 5. It draws the classic Bill Williams Alligator (Jaw, Teeth, Lips) and prints clear BUY / SELL arrows only when the three lines are in exact order:
• BUY = Lips above Teeth above Jaw • SELL = Jaw above Teeth above Lips
Every extra confirmation is optional. You can run a clean Alligator-only signal, or stack RSI, ADX, MA, Ichimoku Senkou Span B, Awesome Oscillator, Parabolic SAR, Heiken Ashi, CCI, RVI, MACD, Support/Resistance, and Fibonacci filters. Alerts cover popup, sound, push, email, and Journal print. Version 1.23 is built for closed-bar logic and anti-spam alerts so historical arrows stay stable.
════════════════ PRODUCT TYPE ════════════════
• Platform : MetaTrader 5 (MT5) • Product class : Technical Indicator • Display : Chart window (not a separate oscillator window) • Plots : Jaw line, Teeth line, Lips line, Buy arrow, Sell arrow • Style : Trend / alignment signal with modular confirmations • Markets : Forex, gold, indices, crypto, stocks — any MT5 symbol • Timeframes : All (M1 to MN). Higher timeframes usually give cleaner alignment • Version : 1.23 • Core idea : Exact Alligator line order + optional multi-filter gate + alerts
This is an indicator, not an Expert Advisor. It does not open, manage, or close trades. It marks setups so you can trade manually or read the buffers from an EA.
════════════════ WHY THIS PRODUCT SELLS ════════════════
Most Alligator tools only paint three moving lines. Traders still have to guess when the “mouth” is open enough to act. This product turns that guess into a rule:
- Exact line order is the only core trigger (not a vague “lines are spreading”).
- Seventeen independent filters can confirm or block the arrow.
- InpOnlyNewSignal prints an arrow at the start of a new alignment, not on every bar while the mouth stays open.
- Signals are evaluated on closed bars; alert state is locked to bar time so you are not flooded on every tick.
- Ichimoku Senkou Span B is handled with an explicit shift correction so the cloud-base comparison matches the bar you are judging.
- All filters default OFF. One product covers both a minimalist Alligator and a full confluence system.
That combination — exact Alligator geometry + modular confluence + no-repaint workflow + complete notifications — is the main value add.
════════════════ WHAT YOU SEE ON THE CHART ════════════════
• Jaw (Blue line) Slowest Alligator line. Balance of the longer-term market. Default SMMA 13, shifted 8 bars.
• Teeth (Red line) Medium Alligator line. Default SMMA 8, shifted 5 bars.
• Lips (Lime line) Fastest Alligator line. Default SMMA 5, shifted 3 bars.
• Buy arrow (Aqua, wingding 233) Placed under the bar low, offset by InpArrowShift points, when BUY alignment passes every enabled filter.
• Sell arrow (Red, wingding 234) Placed above the bar high, offset by InpArrowShift points, when SELL alignment passes every enabled filter.
Empty value is used when there is no arrow, so the chart stays clean.
════════════════ CORE SIGNAL LOGIC ════════════════
On each processed bar the indicator compares the three Alligator buffers after shift-aligned copy:
• isBuy = Lips > Teeth AND Teeth > Jaw • isSell = Jaw > Teeth AND Teeth > Lips
If any Alligator value is empty, that bar is skipped.
If InpOnlyNewSignal = true (recommended): • A Buy arrow appears only when the current bar is BUY-aligned and the previous bar was not. • A Sell arrow appears only when the current bar is SELL-aligned and the previous bar was not.
If InpOnlyNewSignal = false: • An arrow is drawn on every bar that still satisfies the alignment and filters. Use this only if you want a continuous “state” display.
Filters never create a signal by themselves. They only approve or reject an Alligator alignment.
════════════════ KEY FEATURES ════════════════
✓ Exact Lips / Teeth / Jaw order — no fuzzy “almost aligned” rules ✓ Classic Alligator drawing with independent period, shift, MA method, and price ✓ 17 optional confirmation modules, each with its own on/off switch ✓ Closed-bar arrow placement for a stable historical picture ✓ New-alignment mode so you are not buried in arrows during a long trend ✓ Popup, sound, mobile push, email, and Journal alerts ✓ Per-side sound files and anti-repeat lock by signal bar time ✓ Works on any symbol and any timeframe available in MT5 ✓ Handles created only for filters you enable — lighter when most filters are off ✓ Designed so you can start simple, then add confluence one layer at a time
════════════════ ADVANTAGES IN DETAIL ════════════════
- Exact geometry instead of visual guessing Bill Williams described the Alligator as sleeping, waking, and eating. This indicator encodes the eating phase as a strict ranking of the three lines. Two traders looking at the same chart get the same yes/no answer.
- Modular confluence You do not pay for a rigid “one recipe” system. Scalpers may add RSI cross + AO. Swing traders may add 50 MA + ADX + Ichimoku Senkou B. Position traders may add Double MA + MACD zero line + RVI. The same file covers all of those styles.
- Filter independence Each filter has a boolean gate. Disabled filters are not required to pass. That keeps optimization honest: you can test Alligator alone, then measure what each extra rule adds or removes.
- No-repaint workflow Arrows are written on historical bars using closed-bar data. Alerts fire from buffer index 1 (last closed bar) and remember that bar’s time. You should still wait for the bar to close before acting — that is how a non-repainting process is supposed to be used.
- Ichimoku Senkou Span B correction Senkou Span B is a forward-shifted Ichimoku component. Many amateur codes compare the wrong bar. This build copies Senkou Span B and maps it back by Kijun period so “price versus cloud base” is judged on the bar under test.
- Alert stack that matches how traders actually work • Popup for the desk • Sound for when the platform is in the background • Push for the phone (MetaQuotes ID must be set) • Email for a written record • Print for the Experts/Journal log Anti-spam prevents the same closed bar from shouting twice.
- Built-in market-structure options Support/Resistance lookback and a ZigZag-style Fibonacci zone let you demand that the Alligator wake-up happens near a level, not in the middle of nowhere.
- Teaching value Because every module is named and isolated, the indicator is also a live classroom: turn one filter on, watch how many arrows survive, and learn what that study actually does.
════════════════ FILTER MODULES — WHAT EACH ONE DOES AND WHY IT HELPS ════════════════
All modules default to OFF. Enable only what you understand.
- RSI Cross Filter Benefit: catches momentum turning up from oversold or down from overbought, so you do not buy a falling market that merely has Alligator lines stacked. Rule: • Buy — RSI crosses up through Oversold • Sell — RSI crosses down through Overbought
- ADX Filter Benefit: blocks signals in a dead, choppy range. Rule: ADX must be at or above ADX_Min_Level for both sides.
- Single MA Filter Benefit: forces trade direction to agree with a higher-period average. Rule: • Buy — close above the MA • Sell — close below the MA
- Ichimoku Filter (Senkou Span B) Benefit: uses the slower cloud boundary as a bias line. Rule: • Buy — close above Senkou Span B • Sell — close below Senkou Span B
- RSI 75 Filter Benefit: a slow RSI used as a trend compass, not as an OB/OS trigger. Rule: • Buy — RSI(75) above 50 • Sell — RSI(75) below 50
- Double MA Filter Benefit: classic fast/slow moving-average regime. Rule: • Buy — MA A above MA B • Sell — MA A below MA B
- Awesome Oscillator Filter Benefit: Bill Williams momentum companion to the Alligator. Sub-switches: • Volume gate — AO must be >= AO_Buy_Min for buys, <= AO_Sell_Max for sells • Color gate — AO rising for buys, falling for sells • Zero gate — rising and positive for buys, falling and negative for sells You may combine the three sub-gates.
- Parabolic SAR Filter Benefit: simple trail-style side filter. Rule: • Buy — close above SAR • Sell — close below SAR
- Heiken Ashi Filter Benefit: ignores noisy raw candles and uses HA body color. Rule: • Buy — HA Close > HA Open (bullish HA candle) • Sell — HA Close < HA Open (bearish HA candle)
- CCI Trend Filter Benefit: zero-line regime from Commodity Channel Index. Rule: • Buy — CCI > 0 • Sell — CCI < 0
- CCI OB & OS Filter Benefit: demands stretched CCI, useful when you only want aggressive continuation or fade-from-extreme styles. Rule: • Buy — CCI above CCI_Overbought • Sell — CCI below CCI_Oversold
- RVI Trend Filter Benefit: Relative Vigor Index sign as energy filter. Rule: • Buy — RVI > 0 • Sell — RVI < 0
- RVI Signal Filter Benefit: RVI line versus its signal line. Rule: • Buy — RVI main > RVI signal • Sell — RVI main < RVI signal
- MACD Signal Filter Benefit: histogram / crossover bias (main minus signal). Rule: • Buy — MACD histogram > 0 • Sell — MACD histogram < 0
- MACD Level 0 Filter Benefit: raw MACD main line versus the zero level. Rule: • Buy — MACD main > 0 • Sell — MACD main < 0
- Support & Resistance Filter Benefit: requires the signal bar to interact with a recent lookback low (support) or high (resistance), including a point-based zone. Rule: • Buy — bar touches the lookback support zone • Sell — bar touches the lookback resistance zone
- Fibonacci Filter Benefit: allows arrows only when price is interacting with a 0.382–0.618 style zone built from recent swing high/low (ZigZag-like search). Rule: both sides require the current bar to overlap the Fib zone. If swings cannot be found, the signal is rejected.
════════════════ ALERTS AND NOTIFICATIONS ════════════════
When a Buy or Sell arrow is confirmed on the last closed bar, FireSignalAlert can send:
• Alert() popup • PlaySound (separate buy/sell wav names) • SendNotification (enable push and set MetaQuotes ID in the terminal) • SendMail (configure email under Tools > Options > Email) • Print to Experts / Journal
The message includes side, symbol, timeframe, close price, and bar time.
Anti-spam: the same buy bar time or sell bar time will not alert again.
Practical setup:
- Tools > Options > Notifications — allow push and add your MetaQuotes ID.
- Tools > Options > Email — SMTP if you want mail.
- Place wav files in the terminal Sounds folder if you use custom names.
- Keep InpAlertOnNewBarOnly conceptually on: act on the closed candle, not on a forming wick.
════════════════ COMPLETE INPUT GUIDE ════════════════
===== ALLIGATOR =====
InpJawPeriod (13) Bars used to calculate the Jaw. Higher = slower, fewer signals, stronger trend filter.
InpJawShift (8) Forward shift of the Jaw plot and of the copied Jaw buffer. Classic Williams value is 8.
InpTeethPeriod (8) Bars used for the Teeth.
InpTeethShift (5) Classic Williams Teeth shift.
InpLipsPeriod (5) Bars used for the Lips. Fastest line. Smaller values react earlier and whipsaw more.
InpLipsShift (3) Classic Williams Lips shift.
InpMAMethod (MODE_SMMA) Smoothing method. SMMA is the original Alligator. SMA / EMA / LWMA change personality.
InpAppliedPrice (PRICE_MEDIAN) Price fed into the Alligator. Median (HL/2) is classic. Close is more reactive.
InpArrowShift (20) Vertical offset of arrows in points (not pips). Increase on gold/crypto so arrows do not sit on the wick.
InpOnlyNewSignal (true) true = arrow only when alignment just started. false = arrow on every bar that remains aligned and filtered.

════════════════ HOW TO USE — STEP BY STEP ════════════════
- Install the indicator in MQL5/Indicators and compile it in MetaEditor, or attach the Market product to the chart.
- Open any chart. Timeframe is your choice. H1–H4 is a good first test for FX majors. M15–H1 is common for gold. Daily is cleaner for swing work.
- First run: leave every Use_* filter on false. Watch only Jaw / Teeth / Lips and the exact-order arrows. Learn how often the mouth opens on that symbol.
- Decide your style. • Few, high-quality arrows: turn on ADX + Single MA or Double MA + Ichimoku Senkou B. • Momentum entries: RSI Cross or AO color/zero + Alligator. • Level entries: SR and/or Fibonacci plus Alligator. • Candle-smooth entries: Heiken Ashi plus Alligator.
- Enable InpOnlyNewSignal = true so you get the birth of the alignment, not a painted stripe of arrows.
- Set InpArrowShift so markers sit clear of wicks. On XAUUSD you may want 200–2000 depending on digits and scale.
- Turn on the alert channels you actually use. Test push with a demo chart first.
- Wait for candle close. If an aqua arrow prints under the closed bar and your plan allows the spread/session, consider a long. If a red arrow prints above the closed bar, consider a short.
- Place your own stop and target. The indicator does not calculate SL/TP. Common manual ideas: • Stop beyond the Jaw or beyond the signal-bar wick. • Target previous swing, opposite SR, or a fixed R-multiple. These are examples, not built-in orders.
- Keep a journal of which filter stack you used. Adding every filter at once will often produce almost no arrows. That is not a bug; it is stacked probability.
- If you attach an EA later, read BuyBuffer and SellBuffer. Non-empty value means a signal on that bar. EMPTY_VALUE means no arrow.
- After you change inputs, scroll history and also watch a few live closed bars. History teaches frequency; live bars teach session behavior.
════════════════ SUGGESTED STARTING STACKS ════════════════
Conservative trend Alligator defaults + Use_MA_Filter 50 SMA + Use_ADX_Filter 20 + InpOnlyNewSignal true
Williams-style Alligator defaults + Use_AO_Filter with color and zero gates + InpOnlyNewSignal true
Cloud bias Alligator defaults + Use_Ichimoku_Filter 9/26/52 + InpOnlyNewSignal true
Swing pullback Alligator defaults + Use_Fib_Filter 0.382/0.618 + Use_RSI75_Filter + InpOnlyNewSignal true
These are starting points for visual research, not guaranteed systems.
════════════════ IMPORTANT NOTES ════════════════
• Past arrows on closed bars are intended to stay put when you refresh. Do not treat a forming candle as final. • Too many filters can starve the chart of signals. Add one module at a time. • AO thresholds, SR zone points, and arrow shift are symbol-dependent because of point size. • Fibonacci swings are a local search, not the platform’s built-in ZigZag object. Results can differ from a separate ZigZag indicator. • Alerts need terminal permissions. Push and email fail silently if the terminal is not configured. • This tool does not replace risk management, news awareness, or a written plan. • Trading leveraged products involves substantial risk of loss.
