Having a confirmation only from the next higher timeframe is sufficient.

I purchased your SSL_Channel indicator and would like to automate it through an Expert Advisor (EA) in MetaTrader 4.

I would need to know the indicator's buffer numbers, especially the arrows and the dotted line.

Is there a recommended way, from the code, to safely detect the trend change the indicator uses?

I greatly appreciate your work with this indicator and any guidance you can offer.

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your kind words and for using the KT SSL Channel Indicator—I'm glad to hear you're working on automating it through an EA!

Here are the buffer details you’ll need to access signals and trend information via iCustom:

  • Buffer 0 – Upper trend dotted line
  • Buffer 1 – Downtrend dotted line
  • Buffer 2 – Buy arrow
  • Buffer 3 – Sell arrow
  • Buffer 4 – Trend direction (1 indicates uptrend and -1 indicates downtrend)
I strongly recommend disabling the MTF scanner (if it's enabled by default in the input parameters). This will help reduce unnecessary resource usage and keep your EA lightweight.
