Alligator modified

Alligator Modified is a modification of the classic Alligator indicator designed to help traders visually identify market direction and coordinated line expansion.

In addition to displaying the Jaw, Teeth, and Lips, the indicator marks situations when the lines cross and become correctly aligned. This helps distinguish directional Alligator expansion from periods when the lines are intertwined and do not indicate a consistent market direction.

A Buy signal appears when the Lips and Teeth cross the Jaw upward and the lines become aligned in the following order: Jaw, Teeth, Lips. A Sell signal is generated after a downward crossing and the reverse line alignment.

For each new signal, the trader can independently enable:

• a pop-up alert in MetaTrader 5;
• a mobile push notification containing the signal direction, symbol, and timeframe.

The periods, shifts, averaging method, and applied price can be configured in the indicator settings. The default parameters correspond to Bill Williams’ classic Alligator configuration.

The direction of a higher timeframe can be used as the broader market context. Opposite signals on a lower timeframe may indicate a local correction rather than a change in the prevailing direction.

The indicator is intended for visual analysis and discretionary decision support. It does not open trades or manage trading positions. To receive mobile notifications, a MetaQuotes ID must be configured in MetaTrader 5.
