Another month closed with very good profit and very low DD by night surfer. No grid, no martingale.

Brexit is postponed and HIBgRID is up and running again...we started the week with green pips!

Dear HIBgRID trader.
During this high volatility Brexit pause I have taken the oportunity to improve HIBgRID incorporating some of the feedbacks received from the traders.

PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE NEW VERSION 1.2 AND INSTALL IT ON THE TERMINAL

The new version includes:

- Added parameter "max number of recovery orders". Standard setting 4.

- Changed standard settings of slippage filter to 10. As we do not trade during news slippage is very rare. 1 was too low.

- Added parameter max spread to close trade by risk manager. Standard setting 5. This will avoid the closing at small loss due to a spread spike around 24.00

- Added parameter max spread to close trade at target profit. Standard settings 6.5. This will avoid the closing at small loss due to a spread spike around 24.00

- Bug fixed on creation of recovery orders under certain circumstances. With ICmarkets sometimes we had some issues with teh creation of recovery orers

Decreased max drawdown: during backtest of standar setting to around 13.5% from the previous 15,7%.

This week is still going to be very delicate for Brexit, especially from Wednsday onwar. In case you want to trade I recomment to set startign lot at 0,01 and avoind Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday the EA never trades.

Although the Brexit turbulences GBPCAD had a perfect stationaty behaviour yesterday from 22:00 to 05-.00 GMT + 3 and HIBgRID took the opportunity to make three profitable trades !

Yes I know...I told everybody not to trade during major Brexit vote...but what if you had HIBgRID on yesterday night exactly during the Brexit vote?

HIBgRID recommendation -
Dear trader, given the very uncertain situation with Brexit and the largerly increased volatility on GBPCAD (see attached chart with ATR 410 H1), as a precautionary measure I recommend the following:
1) Stop the HIBgRID EA untill Tuesday 5th April afternoon
2) Change the starting lot size to 0,01 for 1000 balance
3) Set the news filter as active and change to 240 the minutes after high impact news

HIBgRID news
Although Brexit vote yesterday was aperfect night for HIBgRID. Three trades all closed in profit.

GBPCAD had a perfect stationary behaviour and the spreads were also low on ICM!

I just released a new version of HIBgRID. Unfortunately there was an issue with the "safer risk mode" option.

I have removed it for now and corrected the description of the GMT offset for news filter in order not to confuse it with the broker GMT offset.

The UK’s future became more uncertain yesterday after Parliament narrowly voted against leaving the EU without a deal. MPs will today vote on whether to delay Brexit past March 29 — a move that would also need the bloc’s approval. Should that pass, the length of the extension will depend on whether MPs back May’s withdrawal deal. Despite Parliament having twice rejected her terms, the PM is said to be pushing forward with plans for a third meaningful vote.

Dear HIBgRID investor,
Given the result of yesterday's vote on Brexit, also today and tomorrow there will be major Brexit vote. To avoid unnecessary risk I recommed to let the EA off untill things are a bit calmer again.
Sorry for this but any Brexit vote can cause an impredictable volatility and price behaviour that is virtually impossible to incorporate in any algorithm. In Addition the news filter incorporated in teh EA may not be sufficient to prevent risky trades, especially if grid orders kick in.
My signal is also stopped.

Dear trader. using HIBgrid or BigBenClimber I recommend to stop the EA today and start again tomorrow due major Brexit vote.



It’s a big week for Brexit negotiations. On Tuesday, MPs will vote on Theresa May’s Brexit deal. The agreement was negotiated with the EU and remains virtually unchanged, despite being resoundingly voted down in January. Should that be rejected, there will be a second vote on Wednesday on whether to pursue a no-deal exit. If that fails, a third vote on Thursday will determine if Brexit should be delayed. As it stands, the UK is due to leave the EU on March 29.
