🚀 The Evolution of My Moving Average EA: From Simple Crossover to Multi-Filter System
Building a trading robot is a continuous journey of optimization. I wanted to share the structural evolution of my Expert Advisor (EA) as it developed across four distinct versions.
Here is how the logic matured from a basic trend-follower to a highly selective, multi-filtered system:
EA 1: Quantum_kingmaster 3.1
Logic: Continuous trading based on "Trend State" (active as long as MAs are separated).
Management: Position Reversal (forcibly closes old trades to reverse direction).
Rigid Setup: Only checked fixed Candle 1 values.
EA 2: Modifikasi Shift
Logic: Shifted to "True Crossover" logic, only entering the exact moment lines cross.
Management: Upgraded to Strict Single Position (rejects new entries if a floating trade is live).
Flexibility: Added a configurable TriggerShift variable for candles.
EA 3: Sistem Pips
Logic: Maintained the True Crossover and Strict Single Position logic of EA 2.
Calculation: Upgraded distance metrics (SL/TP/Trailing) from raw Broker Points to universal Pips via a dedicated pip_multiplier.
EA 4: Multi-Filter Sinyal (The Current Stage)
Logic: The most robust version yet, keeping the Pip system and flexible shifts.
Trend Filter: Added UseTrendFilter (checks price against a major Trend MA, like the MA 200, to ensure we only trade with the macro trend).
Saturation Filter: Added UseFilters (integrates RSI & Stochastic to block buying when overbought or selling when oversold).
📈 Key Takeaway: Moving from continuous exposure (EA 1) to strict crossover entry filtering, and finally adding market state indicators (EA 4), has significantly refined entry quality and protected capital during choppy market phases.
