Project Overview
I am looking for an experienced developer to build a custom trading assistant for MetaTrader 5 (MT5) that monitors important price levels I manually mark on my charts and immediately calls my phone when the market reaches or interacts with those levels.
This is Phase 1 of a larger trading assistant project.
For this phase, I do not need automatic trade execution or a complex market-prediction AI.
My main objective is to build a reliable monitoring and alert system that watches important price levels I manually identify and provides immediate automated phone-call alerts.
Core Requirement
I want to manually draw important horizontal lines on my MT5 charts.
For each horizontal line or price level, I want to be able to attach a custom text note or reminder.
The system should continuously monitor these levels and automatically call my phone when price reaches or interacts with them.
During the phone call, the system should provide:
- Currency pair or instrument
- Price level
- Type of price interaction
- My custom note or reminder associated with that level
1. Manual Horizontal Lines on MT5
I want to manually draw horizontal lines directly on my MetaTrader 5 charts at important price levels.
These levels may represent:
- Liquidity levels
- Support and resistance
- Important swing highs
- Important swing lows
- Potential entry areas
- Order blocks
- Important market areas
- Any other price level that I personally identify
The system should be able to detect and monitor the horizontal lines that I manually draw on the MT5 chart.
I would like the developer to recommend the most reliable method of monitoring manually drawn horizontal lines within MT5.
2. Custom Notes and Reminders for Each Level
After drawing a horizontal line, I want to be able to attach a custom text note or reminder to that specific price level.
For example:
"EUR/USD has reached the previous day's high. Look for a liquidity sweep and bearish confirmation."
Or:
"Price has entered my H4 order block. Check lower timeframe market structure before entering."
Each note should be associated with its specific horizontal line or price level.
The system should be able to retrieve the correct note when the corresponding price level is reached.
I am open to the developer proposing the best user interface for adding and managing these notes.
For example, this could be:
- A text input panel within MT5
- A popup window
- A settings panel
- Another convenient interface
The solution should be simple and easy to use.
3. Automated Phone Call Alerts
When the market reaches one of my manually marked levels, the system should automatically place a phone call to my phone.
The phone call should clearly communicate the relevant market information and my custom reminder.
Example:
"Alert. EUR/USD has reached your marked level at 1.17000. Reminder: Look for a liquidity sweep and bearish confirmation."
The primary requirement is an actual automated phone call.
Push notifications, Telegram alerts, or other notifications may optionally be included as backup systems, but the main feature is the phone call.
The developer may recommend the most reliable phone-call API or service.
4. Price Interaction Detection
The system should distinguish between different ways price interacts with my manually drawn horizontal level.
A. Price Touches or Reaches the Level
The system should detect when the market price reaches or touches my marked horizontal level.
Example:
My level is at 1.17000.
Price reaches 1.17000.
The system should automatically call me.
B. Wick Through / Liquidity Sweep
The system should detect when the wick of a candle crosses through my marked horizontal level.
Example:
My level is at 1.17000.
Price moves beyond 1.17000 with the wick of a candle but does not necessarily close beyond the level.
The system should automatically call me and indicate that price has:
"Wicked through the level"
or:
"Swept the level."
C. Candle Body Close Through the Level
The system should detect when price moves through the level and the candle closes on the opposite side of the horizontal line.
Example:
My level is at 1.17000.
A candle moves through the level and closes beyond it.
The system should automatically call me and indicate that price has closed through the level.
5. Voice Alert Content
During the automated phone call, the voice message should ideally include:
- Currency pair or instrument
- Price level
- Type of interaction
- Custom note associated with that level
Example:
"Alert. EUR/USD has wicked through your marked level at 1.17000. Your reminder is: Wait for bearish market structure confirmation before considering an entry."
6. Multiple Instruments and Multiple Levels
I should be able to monitor multiple price levels simultaneously.
I may have levels on different instruments, for example:
- EUR/USD
- GBP/USD
- XAU/USD
- Other Forex pairs
- Other MT5-supported instruments
Each monitored level should have its own:
- Instrument
- Price level
- Custom note
- Monitoring status
- Alert status
The system must correctly identify which specific level has been reached and call me with the correct information.
7. Duplicate Alert Prevention
The system should prevent unnecessary duplicate phone calls.
For example, if price remains around a level for several minutes, I should not receive repeated calls unless this behaviour is specifically configured.
The developer should implement a reliable alert-management system, potentially including:
- One call per level interaction
- Configurable cooldown periods
- Ability to reset or reactivate a level
- Separate alerts for:
- Price touch
- Wick through
- Candle close through
Suggested Technical Requirements
I am open to the developer recommending the best technical architecture.
The project may involve:
- MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
- MQL5
- Expert Advisor (EA) or custom indicator
- Detection and monitoring of manually drawn chart objects
- APIs
- Webhooks or HTTP requests
- Python or another backend technology, if necessary
- Database for storing levels and custom notes
- Phone-call API/service
- Text-to-speech technology
- Cloud server or hosting, if required
Before development begins, I would like the selected developer to explain the proposed technical architecture and why it is the most reliable approach.
Reliability Requirements
Reliability is extremely important.
The system should be designed to:
- Monitor price levels continuously
- Detect manually drawn horizontal lines
- Trigger alerts quickly
- Correctly detect price touches
- Correctly detect wick-through events
- Correctly detect candle closes beyond a level
- Associate the correct note with the correct horizontal line
- Prevent unnecessary duplicate calls
- Monitor multiple instruments and multiple levels simultaneously
Deliverables
The selected developer should provide:

Developer Requirements
I am looking for a developer with experience in some or all of the following:

- APIs and HTTP requests
- Webhooks
- Automated notification systems
- Phone-call APIs
- Text-to-speech technology
- Python or backend development
Experience building MT5 Expert Advisors, indicators, or trading tools is highly preferred.
Future Development Opportunity
This project is only Phase 1 of a larger trading assistant.
If Phase 1 is successful, I plan to expand the system with additional features, including:
- Market structure analysis
- Liquidity detection
- Smart Money Concepts
- ICT concepts
- Strategy condition monitoring
- Advanced alerts
- AI-assisted market analysis
- Possible automated trade execution in a future phase
Therefore, I would prefer to work with a developer who may be interested in continuing with future phases of the project.
