Convert MT4 Expert Advisor to MT5 (Exact Same Functionality)

Job Description:

I need an experienced MQL4/MQL5 developer to convert my existing MT4 Expert Advisor (EA) into an MT5 version while maintaining identical functionality. The bot’s behavior, strategy, and execution logic must remain unchanged.

Key Requirements:

• Convert MQL4 code to MQL5 without altering the logic or performance of the EA.

• Ensure all order execution functions (market orders, pending orders, stops, take profit, etc.) work exactly as they do in MT4.

• Convert indicators, buffers, and custom functions if used in the EA.

• Ensure compatibility with MT5 backtesting and live trading environments.

• Maintain all user inputs/parameters from the MT4 version.

• Optimize the code for fast execution without unnecessary loops or inefficiencies.

• Provide detailed comments in the code where necessary for clarity.

• Deliver a fully working MT5 EA and ensure no errors or warnings in compilation.

• Provide a brief documentation of any necessary adjustments made during the conversion.

What I Will Provide:

• The original MT4 EA source code (.mq4)

• Any custom indicators (.mq4 or .ex4) if required by the EA

Skills Required:

• Strong MQL4 and MQL5 programming experience

• Experience in converting MT4 to MT5 while maintaining strategy consistency

• Understanding of MT5 trade execution differences (positions vs orders)

• Debugging and performance optimization

Additional Notes:

• The bot’s entry/exit rules, money management, and all logic must remain 100% identical.

• No extra features, modifications, or optimizations beyond the conversion process.

• I need a quick turnaround time with thorough testing to ensure the EA performs correctly on MT5.

Deliverables:

• Fully functional MT5 Expert Advisor (.mq5 file)

• Source code with proper documentation

• Short report on any changes made (if applicable)
