I keep hearing people searching for the "holy grail" in an Expert Advisor (EA)—but such a thing doesn't exist. Some strategies perform well, while others don't; it is crucial to test and understand the systems you use. Whether an EA proves successful also depends heavily on your money management. If you aim for high monthly gains, you must take on greater risk—which carries the danger of losing everything and wiping out your account. In my view, taking small steps and maintaining a controlled drawdown is the key to long-term success. What’s your take on this?

Check. Another successful week. Is your EA running just as stably? Drop a comment—I’d be happy to test it out.

Hello fellow traders, let’s take a look at the week ahead and the AUDCAD signal. Everything is looking good—the drawdown is within an acceptable range, and profits are on the rise. What more could you ask for?

New week, new luck.
But does trading really have everything to do with luck? Well, I believe that "luck" can be steered—and, with enough experience, even predetermined.
It is precisely this experience that has gone into Auscadia; the result is not a gambling machine, but a solid strategy. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Auscadia EA – 10 weeks live: transparent performance on a real signal

Since early July 2026, Auscadia has been running on a live RoboForex ECN account (1:100, 1,000 EUR start), publicly monitored as an MQL5 signal. The account is not optimised for show. It runs the same settings a buyer gets out of the box.

Current figures (as of early October 2026):

Growth: +3.6% (36.05 EUR net profit)
Max. drawdown: 3.2%
Max. deposit load: 4.4%
Profit trades: 72.2%
Algo trading: 98%

The balance curve is a steady staircase, with no open positions left hanging and no losses hidden in floating equity. The deepest equity dip came in late August. That was when a basket worked through a stretched AUDCAD move and the recovery grid brought it back to profit, which is exactly what the system is designed to do.

What Auscadia does:
Auscadia is a mean-reversion basket EA built exclusively for AUDCAD, one of the most range-bound major crosses. It enters on H1 envelope band extremes and manages positions as a basket with a progressive recovery grid. Several protection layers keep exposure tightly controlled. The goal is low drawdown and consistent compounding, not spectacular monthly numbers.

I'd rather show real, modest numbers than a backtest curve. The signal will keep running so you can judge the EA by its live track record over time.

New in the family: Auscadia is live.

While NightScalper is still in testing — and stays there until the live data earns a release — Auscadia has crossed the line first. As of today, it is officially part of the MQL5 product family.

Two products, two timelines: one ready now, one still being proven. Neither rushed. More on both soon.

After ten years of building EAs just for myself, I'm finally publishing one.

Auscadia trades AUDCAD, and nothing else. A quiet pair, away from the dollar-and-euro noise that everyone else is trading — and a strategy built around exactly that.

No miracle numbers, no promises. Just one pair, done carefully, and a lot of patience behind it.

Coming to the Market shortly — the full story with screenshots is here: https://www.mql5.com/en/blogs/post/773436

Week closed. Project #1 — NightScalper (XAUUSD) stays live.

Monitor: https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/2379124

Three weeks of live trading on gold, and the system continues to do what it was built to do: short, selective night entries, in and out fast.
Average hold time is 28 minutes, roughly 7 trades a week.
Numbers so far: profit factor 2.77, maximum drawdown 4.96%, net +21.12.
Three weeks is a sample, not a track record — I'll keep saying that until the data earns otherwise. But the profile matches the backtests, and that is what I am watching for.
Live tests remain active. More to follow.

First live trades — NightScalper Project #1, Gold (XAUUSD)The first real-money trades are in. Six entries on gold during the night session, each opened and closed within minutes — all six closed in profit. Small live account: 500 → 504.82.One session, one small account.
This is not a track record and not proof — just the first live trades doing exactly what the system is built to do: in fast, out fast, low exposure.More forward data to follow before the July release.
