if customer asked that he need profitable ea then you are responsible for delivering profitable EA. if he asked code strategy then its nonsense to say EA is not profitable.

no he did not ask for that you only ask to his strategy an EA .. I usually do not bid for jobs asking for profitable EAs

then you are right. You should tell customer that I have not agreed to code profitable EA, but i am open to do more customization as per your idea at an extra fee.
