Volumes Direction - Volume Direction and Pressure Indicator

Volumes Direction is an advanced volume and market intensity analysis tool that combines volume growth or contraction with price directional pressure (close relative to the candle's central range), offering a dynamic 4-color coded histogram that allows for instant identification of buying strength, selling pressure, or momentum exhaustion.

Configuration Parameters Guide

Volumes: Defines the volume data source used for chart calculations:

Tick Volume: Evaluates the frequency of price variations per candle, optimal for the Forex market.

Real Volume: Records the volume traded in real contracts or lots, recommended for Stocks, Futures, and Cryptocurrencies.

Visual Interpretation

The indicator is presented in a separate sub-window as a bar histogram with 4 clearly differentiated color states:

Blue (Bullish Expansion): Indicates a higher volume than the previous candle with a close above the candle's midpoint (active buying strength and injection).

Red (Bearish Expansion): Indicates a higher volume than the previous candle with a close below the candle's midpoint (active selling strength and injection).

Light Blue (Bullish Exhaustion): Indicates a close in the upper zone of the candle but with a lower volume than the previous one, warning of a loss of buying speed or possible consolidation.

Light Brown / Orange (Bearish Exhaustion): Indicates a close in the lower zone of the candle with decreasing volume, suggesting a lack of selling supply or a pause in the decline.

Trading Guide

Breakout Validation: Confirm support or resistance breakouts only when accompanied by volume expansion bars (Blue or Red), ensuring real capital participation.

Exhaustion Reversal Detection: If the price reaches a new high but the histogram shows bullish exhaustion bars, anticipate a trend slowdown and look for reversal patterns.

Momentum Filter: Prioritize executions in the direction indicated by the peaks of higher expansion volume in favor of the predominant trend.

Ideal Assets: Currency Market (Forex), Stock Indices, Futures, and Crypto assets.
