News on chart

The indicator shows the schedule of economic news releases on the chart.

News is loaded using a free utility that you can download here. The calendar is loaded once at the beginning of the week.

You can customize the list of required countries (currencies). The news is divided into 4 categories of importance: high, medium, low and others. By default, the indicator displays data for the current week.

There are 4 offset buffers available in the indicator, which can be used as a news filter when developing Expert Advisors.

Main parameters:
  • Use pure site data - the indicator uses raw source data
  • Use common folder - use the common terminal folder for data files
  • Start publication from - date of the start of data display (0 - the current week), too "distant" date can lead to the terminal freezing
  • Currency list - name of currencies to display news, list currencies separated by commas
  • Create additional text for news - display additional information
  • Show info before X minutes - display information X minutes before
  • Show info after X minutes - display information X minutes after
  • GMT hours offset for broker time - broker time offset from GMT
News display settings:
  • Show 'High' importance news - show news of high importance
  • Show 'Medium' importance news - show news of medium importance
  • Show 'Low' importance news - show news of low importance
  • Show additional news - show additional news
  • Vertical points from prev object - vertical offset between objects
  • Show vertical lines - show vertical lines on bars with news
  • Create 'events' for news - create 'event' objects
Alert settings:
  • Turn on / off news - enable alerts
  • Do alerts before X minutes from news - display an alert in X minutes
  • Alert sound on / off - enable sound notification
  • Sound name - file name for sound notification
Additional settings:
  • Hide old news - hide past news
  • Hide old lines - hide the vertical lines of past news
  • Generate news data for testing on USD pairs - generating news data. Use for testing. Set to "false" for normal operation
  • Add time to news info text - add time to news description text
  • Add currency name to news info text - add currency name to news description text
