Gold EA Pulse MT4 - Gold EA for XAUUSD with Prop Firm Protection
Gold EA Pulse MT4 is a fully automated Gold EA for MetaTrader 4, built for trading XAUUSD. It runs a proprietary signal engine with two entry modes and includes risk controls designed around prop firm rules, such as the daily and maximum loss limits used by FTMO and other prop firms.
Start small: Gold EA Pulse MT4 runs from a $200 account with 1:100 leverage at 0.01 lot.
No martingale. No grid. No averaging. One position at a time by default.
How it trades by default
- Opens one position at a time on a new signal.
- Moves the stop to breakeven after 150 points of profit and locks in 50 points.
- Takes profit when an opposite signal appears, closing winning trades only.
- No fixed stop loss or take profit by default. Without a stop loss, a losing trade stays open until it recovers to breakeven or profit, which can mean larger floating losses. Turn on Stop Loss for prop firm challenges and small accounts (see recommended settings below).
Key features
- Proprietary signal engine with two entry modes: Mode A (early) and Mode B (confirmed).
- Adjustable Signal sensitivity: higher = more trades, lower = fewer and more selective trades.
- Selectable signal timeframe.
- Optional stop loss and take profit in points or as a volatility multiple.
- Breakeven and trailing stop with full control over start, distance and step.
- Take profit on opposite signal (winners only) or close all trades on opposite signal.
- Fixed lot or automatic risk-% lot sizing.
- Info panel on the chart showing status, drawdown and the reason when an entry is blocked.
- No DLL and no external setup needed.
Prop firm and FTMO challenge protection (switch on in the inputs)
- Daily loss limit: measured on equity against the day-start balance, so open losses count, not just closed trades.
- Max drawdown limit: measured from peak equity, which is stricter than a static limit. It stays active after EA or terminal restarts.
- Close all EA trades automatically when a limit is hit.
- Friday close and daily close time: helps avoid weekend and overnight holding where your firm doesn't allow it.
- Trading hours and trading days filters.
- Max trade duration and max spread filter.
- Signals are checked once per bar. No high-frequency trading, no tick scalping, no latency arbitrage.
Recommended settings for prop firm challenges
- Use Stop Loss: Yes
- Use daily drawdown limit: Yes, Max daily loss 4% (for a firm limit of 5%)
- Use max equity drawdown limit: Yes, Max drawdown 8% (for a firm limit of 10%)
- Close all EA trades when limit hit: Yes
- Close all trades on Friday: Yes (if your firm doesn't allow weekend holding)
- Use trading hours: set it to skip the hours of major news if your firm restricts news trading
Check that your firm's day reset time matches your broker server time.
Built for small accounts
- Minimum deposit: $200 with 1:100 leverage at 0.01 fixed lot.
- For accounts under $1,000, use Fixed lot 0.01 with Stop Loss enabled. With a 300-point stop loss, the risk is about $3 per 0.01 lot on brokers that quote gold with 2 decimals.
- In Risk-% mode the EA never exceeds your chosen risk, so on very small accounts it may skip a trade when the broker's minimum lot would risk more than your setting.
- Built-in margin checks prevent orders the account can't support.

Backtesting notes
Use "Every tick" mode with good-quality tick data. Results vary by broker because of spread and history quality.
MT5 version
Gold EA Pulse is also available for MetaTrader 5, with a built-in news filter using the MT5 Economic Calendar:
Prop firm note
Most prop firms, including FTMO, allow Expert Advisors, but rules differ between firms and change over time. Some firms limit the total capital that traders can run with the same third-party EA. Always check your prop firm's current rules before using any EA on a challenge or funded account.
Support
Questions and settings help through MQL5 messages or the product comments.
Risk warning
Trading gold and CFDs carries a high level of risk. Past or backtest performance does not guarantee future results. Test on a demo account first and only trade money you can afford to lose.
