Specification
Seeking an experienced MQL5 developer to migrate a complex MT4 Expert Advisor (EA) to MT5 while preserving its core trading strategy and enhancing performance. The EA, originally built with FXDreema in MQL4 (~20,000 lines), uses multi-indicator analysis and conditional grid/martingale logic. The primary goals are ensuring functional parity with the MT4 version, optimizing execution speed, and resolving platform-specific limitations.
Key Requirements:

Accurate MT4-to-MT5 Conversion

Reimplement indicator/chart pattern logic (e.g., trend detection, entry conditions) with MQL5 syntax adjustments.

Ensure grid/martingale triggers maintain non-distance-based conditions (e.g., trend validation) identical to the original EA.

Address discrepancies observed in FXDreema-generated MT5 code, particularly in grid management and trade closure logic (I tried to convert the EA via FXDreema but the trading logic was different especially for opening further grids and closing positions).

Performance Optimization

Reduce backtesting/live trading latency through code refactoring (e.g., indicator calculation efficiency, memory management).

Resolve MT4-style resource bottlenecks causing terminal freezes (since the current code is poorly written, MT4 freezes a lot and backtests take ages).

MT5-Specific Feature Implementation

Add trade direction toggle (buy-only/sell-only/both) since MT5 lacks native MT4-style configuration.

Developer Qualifications:

Proven experience in MQL5 optimization for high-frequency strategies.

Deep understanding of MT4/MT5 differences, especially regarding order execution and indicator handling.

Familiarity with FXDreema-generated code structures.

Portfolio demonstrating complex EA migrations with measurable performance improvements.
Deliverables:

Fully functional MT5 EA (including source code) matching MT4 behavior in trade initiation, grid management, and exit logic (backtest and live trading results must be very similar to the MT4 version).

Backtest execution time reduced to original MT4 version.

Live trading stability under high market volatility.
Please note:
I do not have a written description of the EA’s logic—only the MT4 source code, which I purchased myself, is available. This project has been posted previously, but the former developer was unable to complete it due to the EA’s complexity and numerous subtle details, despite having access to the source code before accepting the job. If you do not have substantial experience converting complex FXDreema-generated EAs, please do not apply.
