That depends on the nature of the code and if the programmer of your EA put this into his consideration or not.
You need to ask him or try it on demo account before doing it on your live account.

If I am running an EA on a 240 min eur/usd chart and I want to switch to a daily on the same chart will the EA continue to run in the backround on the 240m chart. I know I could just pull up another chart its just a general question incase it happens
