Old version not updating

Hi
I am having some issues with MT4.
I have 2 MT from different brokers and none was updating to newer version.
One from MIG is V.4 Built 211(15 Oct 2007).
The other is from IBFX also wasn't updating.
Anyone knows possible answer/solution.

You download latest build and try to reinstall the terminal manually.
 
Rosh, thanks I did just that,hopefully the new one will be updating itself.
That brings me to the other problem I could not solve.
First, I unistalled old the program using control panel.
Then, manually deleted the remaining folder.
Just immediately after installation it starts up as new-with default profiles etc.
After I exit and then re-start the program using desktop shortcut created during installation it opens up with my old settings.
There must be some files left on computer with the old settings over righting default.
Could you help me with that please.
Those were demos.Now I want to go live with MT4 and would like to have
everything clean.

I have same question!
I was told that it is harmless but I do not think so because it even happens between separate terminals. I believe that the information is stored in the registry.
I personally am very suspicious if a program is searching other directory and strange crashes or resets are happening and MetaQuotes is not explaining why. I just have such a strange reseting going on right now an still do not know why.
 
I have MT4(demos) from different brokers and all of them behave identically.
I uninstall them,clean registry,download and install a new one and when it stars up I always have my address,name,phone,city etc populated.

And most interestingly the old settings from previous programm.
There must be a file where this info is stored.
It did not bother me before but thinking of opening a life account I wanted everything clean.
Anyone has come up with the answer?
