MetaQuotes-Demo XAUUSD fees and historical tick timestamps, 4–6 November 2026

Hello, I’m validating historical XAUUSD bid/ask quotes exported using copy_ticks_range from a USD demo account on the MetaQuotes-Demo server. Could MetaQuotes staff confirm the following for 4–6 November 2026?

  1. What commission or other transaction fees applied to XAUUSD on this demo account type? Please provide the amount, currency, and whether the fee was per side or round trip, or confirm that no such fees applied.

  2. What UTC offset and daylight-saving rules applied to the server on those dates? The MT5 Specification shows quote and trade sessions of 00:00–23:00 Monday through Friday. Are those hours shown in server time?

  3. For this server and date range, do the historical tick timestamps returned by Python’s copy_ticks_range represent UTC, or do they need to be converted from server time?

If there’s an official reference or a private support route for these questions, please point me to it. Thank you.

None other than spread which is generally undersized in contrast to a live account.

In MT5, the time zone of the data is always based on the specific time zone of the server set by the broker-dealer/provider. The best way to convert time zones is to relate all times back to GMT which does not observe DST.

Server time. (If the official mql5.com Python documentation still states "UTC", then that documentation is erroneous).
