Subject: MetaEditor 5 — Compiler-Only Installation Without Launching MT5
Hello,
I am preparing an isolated Windows Server 2025 environment on Microsoft Azure to compile a non-trading MQL5 diagnostic script.
Before installing MetaTrader 5, I would appreciate clarification on the following:
Is there an officially supported installation method that prevents the MetaTrader 5 trading terminal from automatically launching?
Is MetaEditor 5 officially supported on Windows Server 2025 Datacenter?
Is a standalone or offline MetaEditor compiler package available?
Can MetaEditor compile a single .mq5 file through its command-line interface without launching the trading terminal or connecting to a broker?
Can automatic updates or additional processes be triggered during compiler-only execution?
The objective is strictly offline compilation. No broker login, trading or terminal execution is required.
I would appreciate references to official documentation or confirmation from MetaQuotes.
Thank you.
