Feature request: Optional confirmation before closing MetaTrader 5

As a new MT5 user, I was surprised to discover that the application closes without asking for confirmation—even when Expert Advisors are running. An accidental click can therefore stop trading automation without warning.

Please add an optional “Confirm before closing the terminal” setting to MetaTrader 5.

Currently, accidentally clicking the window’s Close button can shut down the terminal without warning, stopping locally running Expert Advisors, signal processing, and other automation.

Yeah, that would avoid some "fat-fingered" mistakes when missing the chart close X with a click.

While we're posing wishfully, I'd throw in a "Check for terminal updates" link/button in any such confirmation dialogue. It's always nicer to get updates while closing MT5 than while working in MT5.
