Until recently, MT5 and my Ubuntu server were running perfectly fine. However, the latest MT5 update has broken its functionality on Ubuntu.
MT5 previously had compatibility issues with Wine 10 and Wine 11, so I downgraded to Wine 9 approximately six months ago. After that, MT5 ran normally without any issues.
Recently, I received an update prompt for MT5 and installed the update. Since then, MT5 has refused to start on Ubuntu with Wine 9, displaying the error message: “A debugger has been found running in your system. Please, unload it from memory and restart your program.”
There is no debugger installed or running on my system. This appears to be a false positive, potentially caused by a change in the latest MT5 update or its compatibility with Wine 9.
Please investigate this issue and provide a solution that allows MT5 to run on Ubuntu with Wine 9 an other versions too.
From the official Help page:
I wouldn't assume that a newer build of MT5 would work on an older version of Wine.It is highly recommended to always use the latest versions of the operating system and Wine. Timely updates increase platform operation stability and improve performance.

Well, phasing out older versions and adopting new ones is technically a lengthy process. Older versions are often stable, reliable, and time-tested, so they should not be discontinued hastily or without prior notice.
However, I don't believe this is an intentional phase-out of older versions. Rather, I suspect it is a technical issue or a false debugger detection introduced by the latest update. I would appreciate it if this could be investigated and resolved without forcing users to upgrade to newer Wine versions that may not be compatible with their existing setups.

This problem already arises in at least Debian and Ubuntu.
The WineHQ packages for Ubuntu 25.10 and later and Debian Testing (wine versions 10.18 and up) are WoW64. Therefore, the 32-bit packages are no longer necessary. The new WoW64 can run 32-bit programs from a 64-bit wineprefix, but it cannot use 32-bit wineprefixes. If you have any 32-bit wineprefixes from a previous installation, you will need to reinstall your 32-bit applications to a 64-bit wineprefix. Older versions of Ubuntu and Debian require the 32-bit architecture to be enabled.
Given the numerous patches and fixes recently applied to Wine, MetaTrader, and the macOS/Linux platforms, it is highly unlikely that versions of Wine older than Wine 10 will be supported.

i have changed os to latest 26.04 and wine v10 error is still there. Tried all searched threads and tutorials error is still here. If someone could explain what its searching.. there is no debugger installed.
Now issue is what debugger is running , if its a false positive mt5 needs to fix it , if it true they need to provide us steps to remove and disable any hidden debugger. Its a clean installation nothing else is installed. My mt5 is not running since 3 days on server and has missed trades.

Yeah Wine 10 seems odd too, not sure if it's possible to use it. Why do you want to use an old Wine ?
