Local network farm stopped working after updating MT5 on Ubuntu linux - page 2

This appears to be an issue related to using Docker containers, but I am not using Docker.

Furthermore, since the description mentions that "the agents never connect anywhere"

it seems distinct from my problem, where the agents fail to be added in the first place.

Fair enough. I shall continue digging...

I appreciate that your intention is to help. However, this has become a recurring pattern, and I must ask you to stop posting speculative answers in areas where you lack sufficient knowledge or experience.

People come to this forum looking for reliable, informed support, not merely for search results or unverified possibilities. This is especially important nowadays, with the rise of increasingly capable search tools and AI assistants. People do not come here for human-generated hallucinations on top of those already provided by LLMs.

You are of course free to investigate any topic that interests you, but please post an answer only when you have enough relevant expertise to assess the the information properly and provide a reliable contribution. In practice, I ask that you focus primarily on questions within your actual field of competence.

Thank you for understanding.

Yasuaki Kimushigeru:

I found it was no longer working - possibly due to an MT5 update.

I found another thread wherein a Windows 11 user had a similar issue in January of 2026. No completed resolution was posted there, but someone suggested retroactively installing a previous Build of MT5. This is generally reserved as a last resort.

Obviously, you're not using Windows. However, you seem to suspect that an MT5 update may have been the cause. At this point, I have to suggest backing up your MQL5 [Data Folder] and "downgrading" to a previous stable Build─ideally, the last Build that was fully functional in your system. Forum Moderator, Alain Verleyen, maintains a list of previous stable Builds at https://forge.mql5.io/angevoyageur/MT5-Last-Official-Release/releases, going as far down as Build 5430.

(I'm getting the sense that you're approaching a last resort).

Ok. I, the human search engine, am officially doneski in this thread. Thank you, and I wish the OP good luck.

I will check when I have some spare time.

I am taking the liberty of posting this reply.

As I stated from the beginning—"I used to use the local network farm feature on Ubuntu Linux"—it is only natural that it works in older versions, and that is not what I am looking for.

The thread appears active, so it might seem to everyone that a solution is in sight; however, there has been absolutely no progress on this issue so far.

I wanted to clarify this point to avoid any misunderstanding.

Thanks.
