I've seen some stupid AI-generated scripts on GitHub that automatically submit a template application when a new job comes up.

If mql /freelance was the only option in the world to score these contracts, how would you go about getting ahead of this issue?
Join in? I highly doubt most people find success with it because the applications themselves are quite poor but it doesn't negate the fact that most clients don't even get to see your application which is the primary issue so some solution needs to be figured out (if you're in my position for example)

Apparently, it's become a bit more difficult to get a job these days. But if I were freelancing, I don't think I would have a problem with it.
The whole secret is that I study the task before applying. When I apply, I immediately ask questions that arose as a result of studying the task. And often, by the time I'm applying, I already have a better understanding of the client's strategy than they do.
But if you're a cyborg (an LLM user who can't write code by hand) who applies for absolutely every job, then you too can succeed, unfortunately for me.😁
There are users here who generate code using AI and know nothing about programming. And I see them successfully landing jobs worth hundreds of dollars, and what's more, they complete them and receive 5-star reviews. They started from scratch just a few months ago.
[edit] But they're smart, by the way. AI is a power multiplier, and if a person has below-average intelligence, AI won't make them successful.

I don't really know why i was so lucky to get accepted when i was starting, but i noticed providing clients with prototypes or maybe screenshots of your past projects helped me get hired much faster. That said, a lot also came down to responding quickly. I eventually made a rule not reply to job posts with more than 8 replies. After taking a few months off, though, i came back and this was near impossible. A job post barely lasted a few minutes before it was flooded with replies even before you finished reading the requirements to see whether I could actually do the job
I already knew AI was changing the landscape because some of my clients would occasionally show me proposal responses that were clearly AI-generated.I did not realize that this extends to automatic AI responses which can pose a real problem to freelancers who are starting from scratch.
One of the things I love about the MQL5 Freelance section is how beginner friendly it is. But maybe this is not always a good thing, I wouldn't want the system to change completely, but hopefully they'll find a way to address this issue in the future.
I also miss the freelance section, It was a great place to meet dedicated traders who genuinely loved the markets and were always willing to share something new. Every now and then, those professional interactions even grew into friendships with people I never would have met otherwise.
My biggest piece of advice is to value loyal clients and always deliver your best work. At the same time, don't rely solely on freelancing, expand your reach by contributing to the codebase, articles, market, etc. Thats exactly what im trying my hardest to accomplish.

I hear. I have definitely found my biggest clients so far outside of the platform and I think I have done a decent job at retaining them but since the summer started in the Northen Hemisphere everyone is on break and I have to bridge the gap here on mql. I think somewhat of a "external contributions" approach might be the only way remaining to stand out at this point, such that at least should a client happen to view your application they are immediately sold.
I see your perspective. On Upwork it's a lot easier to do because you can even highlight your past projects and past contract work and they can view it in full detail but mql applies restrictions to what you can mention (also generally people don't like being redirected to some external link). It's a bit of a paradox, removing that "no linking to marketplace products" alone could clear a significant amout of this element I feel like, because if a client can verify download a demo directly from your profile that would go a long way in terms of proving you know what you are doing - if that makes sense.
