Since mt4 is not officially supported by metaquotes anymore, nor has been for a very long time now, there is no official specifications to be found anywhere.

But unofficially there is still users that use it on windows 7 occasionally.  But I do not know how they do that when to use mt4 and mt5 nowadays your system requires the installation of webview2. i do remember a official release notes saying that server 2016 was now unsupported, but around same time i got it working 100% when i forced webview2 to install.

some get it to work in MacOS and Linux, but only those "in the know".

Note that only brokers have official support of mt4, so if you want to know more than you are likely to only get further details from your broker.

 

Most likely, by June 1 (2024), we will stop supporting Windows 7, as well as the remaining 32-bit terminals.

MT4 is extremely lightweight by modern standards. Any modern PC or laptop runs MT4 without difficulty. However, you need to explain your requirements in more detail, because if you plan to run multiple terminals simultaneously or perform heavy backtesting, factors like RAM, CPU, and disk performance become more important.
